My point is, Hull FC are doing [inothing[/i to justify putting their name to the donation, but the fans of both clubs are. If you don't see a problem with that then fair enough.
I just bored myself with that post, sorry...'"
Hull are doing something, slapping a quid on, a small task with maximum return, why is that so wrong?......
Also how on earth does ANYONE know how the cheque will be presented and how it will be explained etc etc???

I'm going to bow out here Stan. I've already got my ticket and as a paying fan I'm more than happy to aid Hull FC's charitable donation to Children In Need

| Most pathetic thread ever.
If the extra quid annoys people that much, why was there such a queue on Monday morning? I queued at CP for 2 1/2 hrs, got my tickets and never heard 1 person complain about this. It's just the odd poster on here that thinks they are representing the fans, well your not. Most of us ain't that petty, and have lives to lead.
See you all on Good Friday. Hope Pudsey turns up!

My point exactly
The club cannot 'gift aid', but individuals can, the amount added onto the tickets could have been increased greatly had it been a voluntary donation.

IMO they will get more money this way than by a volountary donation.

I'm going to bow out now too. I too have purchased my tickets, but people need to remember that on an internet forum we are all entitled to an opinion. My opinion is that Hull FC are doing a good thing by donating funds they are making from the rugby league watching public of Hull, I just hope that that is the way it appears at any presentation to the charity.
For what it's worth, I hope it is a huge cheque.

| Hull FC are not donating anything, the fans of HFC and HKR are. Hope the FANS raise lots of money for a very worthwhile charity.

| Though i'm not a big fan of Jimmy Rule he gets 10 out of 10 for this one. After Rovers shenanigans last season regarding ticket prices he has played his ace card here.........................
.......................and he hit the jackpot

| I think it's worth it really, i give regularly to dovehouse which is my chosen charity, when i go to grounds that go around with a bucket, KC included, i put a couple of quid in for me and a couple for our lass, if i have no change it's a fiver, on this occasion i got my wifes ticket and 2 child swaps so the extra £2 has been wiped anyway. All that needed to be done at kc was charge £21 go around with a bucket (even more for charity) and then fc could have given to charity, and no one would be the wiser. It's the way Fool has gone about it (like the arrogant d1ck he is) that has caused this debate. As i said i think it's worth the £1 as now i will not have any problem with saying "ram it" when they come with the bucket, saved me £4-£5, and i can still laugh in the knowledge that you all complain about CP yet you still come in your sheep like droves even when we CLEARLY charge you lot £7 more than anyone else, ...hope to see you all at the return game at CP in the zebrugger stand, i can see you all now... icon_biggrin.gifEPRESSED:fever.gif icon_iamwithstupid.gificon_biggrin.gifOH: "LOVE IT"

Not me you wont because I refuse, and guess what, some of your fans think that makes me disloyal to my club. Typical double standards from some fans.
As for the bucket collection, I've taken part in a few and I guarantee a bucket collection would not have raised anywhere near £15k
As an example we did a bucket collection for the Prescott foundation at your home game against Wigan last season. The attendance was over 8000 but the amount raised was about £800 IIRC. A good amount but it follows the accepted pattern that bucket collections tend to average out about 1 in 10 people donating £1.
One final thought for the pathetic moaners on here. Hull FC have not claimed to be "donating" the money they have claimed to be "raising" the money. Which is exactly what they have done. Have a word with yourselves.

Out of order Gordon. ?
As the reply to Phil B stated .....one can choose to go or not to go.
One could choose to donate this entry fee to a chosen charity or as Mrs Barista pointed out it could go in a pocket, ie Richard Horne's.
Surely you agree in fans choice.
