If any of the massive thickos that post on here want to understand how to accelerate a play and put someone into a gap then watch Scott Murrell.

I've never met him and I suspect he's as thick as pig but he understands Rugby League.

(I've only written that because there's a slight chance I'll meet him one day and he'll kick the fwark out of me)

The amount of tries that Hull Kingston Rovers have scored off the back of Murrell's endless work just doesn't show up in the stats.

Murrell has never let rovers down and can fill in in a number of positions, has a reasonable kick option and as sandra says has an eye for creating a gap. Add into that he can crunch a tackle or two and lifts the team doing so. Good squad player, miles ahead of the washbrooks of this world and a better SL player than the likes of snail Whiting that FC rave about.

Nev is gash tho'.

I like Murrell but in the past few weeks he's gave away some very crucial penalties at massive times in a match. Needs to be better with his discipline, Netherton jeeps what was he doing on Sunday seems to be falling over players and generally getting in the way of plays.

Nev also has never let us down, all squads need players who can come in and do a job and thats exactly what he does for Rovers. When did you see him have a bad game for us, ok he will never be a Galea, but all the so called 'top' players have stinkers now and then and I cannot recall Nev ever being anything but giving 100% committed to the cause.

I have often said that if we are 6 points behind with 10 minutes to go, you don't bring him on unless injury necessitates, but if you are defending a 6 point lead with 10 minutes to go there is no other Rovers defender I would want on the pitch.

He might struggle just on his own.

Netherton is that he's the type of player praised when the team wins and plays well. But when the team plays poorly/lose then he's the first player to singled out. The same tat gets labelled @ defensive midfielders in soccer.
