We've got a lot of work to do, but I think we have improvement in us. Hull KR also have quite a bit of work to do - nearly threw away a game you should have stuffed us in. Defensively I don't think you have a lot to offer and will get punished badly in the season unless you can improve that. Speed, your fast including PTB and passing.

We tackled well, but were unorganised, and most disappointingly unenthusiastic. You can certainly see we don't have a Dobson type player in our squad at the moment. He was monumental for you again - every time I see him on the field he gives 100% for the Red and Whites. We desperately could do with a player like him, its definitely our missing piece of the jigsaw.

At the end of the day, friendlies are always weird due to the amount of experimentation going on, but I think the game will have taught both coaches useful lessons.

What are you on about, I've never mocked an injury to a player. Rovers have form for pessimistic statements on injuries in the post match press conference for it all to be alright in the end, creating the well-established timely boost. Normally it's players being back "ahead of schedule" for a derby. We have Paterson being reportedly declared a major doubt for the season opener and Sandercock looking miserable at the press conference, and he tweets an hour later his shoulder is "sweet". Do keep up you gormclops.

It's hopeless. Meaningless game, Hull have a better squad than us, we'll hopefully make the eight. Fans that clearly understand the game itself do not understand that these games are trials where the coaches give plays a run. For goodness sake Hull used about six different half back combinations, and rightly so.

Totally agree i think eden will get better and better weve got heil and hall for centre after round 4 if welhams broken hand is only in a splint shudnt take long for it to heal hopefully some exciting players coming thru walker and griffin what more can you say and that caro try was sublime,travis o hara to come back to and gleeson, the one thing that stood out was the never say die attitude fc had 55 per cent completion you cant win a game on them stats id say sandercock totally got it right and you can tell hes not scared to throw the youngsters in against quite a lot of the first team of fc so im happy with the promising attitude of today.

The penalty count I believe favoured us 6-1 in the first half but IIRC it favoured you 7-0 second half.
If that is right then its obvious as to why we had to defend so much more second half.
So with regard to that I would happily argue that being under the kosh for most of the half with a 7-0 penalty count and then only losing a half 12-6 away from home is nothing to worry about.
