Oh, look, I've mentioned them. Perhaps we can move on to the north stand? Not finished, terrible cladding, wrong colour walls, stupid garden, small windows and seating colour coordination inverted in comparison to RM.

To be honest. The colour is starting to grow on me. The white seats with red lettering also looks good. Not a fan of too much red. Not a fan of the towers though. They are making an already bad idea even worse by adding lights.

I loved the idea of the towers, when they had floodlights on. However, a mistake with planning that meant floodlights would cast shadows onto the pitch from the stand roof and the floodlights idea being binned, I thought they'd just be nice solid red towers. Not a bit of scaffolding cladded with styrene. The lights inside of them idea is a bit rubbish, too. Depending where, and how many, lights are positioned inside of them, it may show the scaffolding. That'd look freppin' awful.

Just to answer a couple of questions,
1, Yes the club do know about the towers being lit, It was proposed to remove them but the club wanted them to stay, we are working on a way to mask the frame of the tower so it won't show the frame.
2, The red colour is a bad match, although the same colour was ordered, it was the change of material that makes it look different but that is hopefully being addressed.
3, The different colour windows stays, people have to realise that it isn't only Rovers who will be the tenants, Hull Training and Sirius will also be in there, without other partners this would not have been possible,
4, Rovers have the control over the pitch facing aspect of the ground and have shared facilities within it, with the exception of the new turnstiles.

When are they painting over that purple?

Thanks for the response Phil. Just one more question, has the architect been sacked yet for what is nothing short of a shambolic eyesore?

I think to call it a shambolic eyesore is a bit OTT, I think it's far better that the golf stand, I think people have lost sight of the way we got the ERDF monies, it had to be done through partnership working, so the other partners aims and objectives had to be fed into the process.
We needed a stand and we now have that.
As for the architect I can't comment as I am the councils representative on the board of NPS and as such I have a legal responsibility to the company.

It was actually a genuine question, although I can see why you'd pounce on it as an FC fan taking the mickey. I read the thread on the virtual terrace and came for a look.

Yes Phil we did and yes Phil we have other partners but which of those partners wanted cladding to match the sky? Which of those partners decided that we didn't need enough toilets to make legal requirements? Which of those partners decided to alter the look from the original plans in such a rather large way?

I understand your position Phil but lets be honest here the red pillars aside it looks very little like the original plans/drawings and that is rather poor wouldn't you say?
