Heres hoping Mika is fit,this looks a very strong fit side with loads of impact off the bench.

That would be my 17 if Mika and Paterson are fit. Wouldnt be surprised to see Hodgson in the back row if one of them misses out with Keale Carlile getting a deserved shot at hooker.

Maybe a case for Hall at left centre and use Withers at 6?

I wouldn't play Graham Horne at centre.
At Rovers we have a selection of players who came with centre as their favoured position, Salter, Welham, Gleeson, Hall, Heil.
Rule out Welham and Gleeson and you've still got 3 players who like to play in the centre. Why you then decide to play Graham Horne in a position he has shown that he isn't adept in is beyond me.

Not sure on the stats, but last year Horne filled in at centre almost as much as he played in his preferred position it seemed. I'd be surprised if CS doesn't do the same again.

I'd rather sacrifice playing Horne @ centre, in order to have Hall playing at 6, until Burns is in contention. If that was the case, what I wouldn't really want to see is the Lovegrove/other Hall shuffle. Works ok when we have a controlled set with a good kick/chase. But a complete mess when on the back foot.

Cory Paterson played at centre when he was at Newcastle.

If Cory moved to centre it would allow Graeme Horne to play in his favoured 2nd row position.

However, if Kris Welham cannot play (don't rule him out yet) then I would like to see Chris Heil given the opportunity. It might leave the backline somewhat exposed but he showed up well in the derby and deserves a chance.

If last Sundays derby is anything to go by, the 'shuffle' didn't happen, in fact I though Hally's mid-field defence was solid. . . and so was Dobbos!

He filled in at centre during games when someone was injured, and he played a few games of centre in the lower grades - but he just about plays second row like a centre - loves to run wide and score tries.

While I agree Heil looked comfortable enough in the derby to merit a first team spot. I can't help but think it might be better to wait until there is a senior centre available to play him with, ie Welham or Gleeson, and perhaps give Salter a rest, rather than two young relatively inexperienced lads at once.

There is deffo merit in moving Hall to centre and playing Withers at 6. If Sandercock doesnt want to move Horne away from the backrow then it is probably a more likely scenario at this stage than pairing inexperienced duo Salter and Heil in the centres.

Id go with this too, I'd say its our strongest line up considering injuries.

Horne would leave us more vulnerable out wide than Heil IMO.
He doesn't train to play centre and never has and therefore doesn't know how best to defend in that position, often leaving himself stranded in the wrong position.

It's nothing against Horne, I think he's a very decent 2nd rower, he's just not a centre and I don't understand the obsession with playing people out of position.

This could be a factor when betting,
ie more likely to back KR with him in the team than out,i believe skybet have called the game level with no handicap given either way.
