If you wanna moan about stuff, then whenever a club (regardless of sport) gets taken over, they essentially become a new company with the same assets!

Arsenal have actually been owned by about a dozen different companies in the last 20 yrs. I think the current company is Red and White Holdings. But the players and name have stayed the same, but are a different company.

That happened at Hull FC - same assets, new owners.

having layed a new pitch a year or two ago that would help massively in winning the best playing surface

Slightly off topic, used to love it before the derbys on the old baked mud of the Boulevard when a Rovers fan would run on and sprinkle grass clippings on the centre circle and the Rovers fans would sing "What's it like to play on grass!"....Priceless!

They certainly did, it was transformed and was superb afterwards.

Always been a superb playing surface, in recent years. Before was a sand pit, now excellent.

What a great idea by Rovers, to invest the money from the service level agreement with the Council, for work in the community, on the construction of the best playing surface in Super League.

KC must be a good pitch as it's the same as Liverpools and Real Madrids pitches so it's got to be up there.

The Craven Park pitch has certainly improved dramatically since the early days there.

I think now it is getting some of the recognition it desrves as an excellent playing surface.

although i see your point as both those football clubs don't share there ground with another club, so the KC must be up there considering the hammering it gets.

Obviously the quality of any pitch will depend on the standard of the groundsman and the number of matches played on it. I believe a number of premiership soccer teams allow only first team games and train elsewhere as do their reserve and junior teams.

Fortunatley Rovers are in a position to allow only their first and reseve team to play at Craven Park thus usually limiting the surface to the minimum wear and tear. Othe clubs may not be so fortunate....and Man Utd for instance can still blame any defeat at home on the R.L. Grand Final played in September

always praised by everyone who plays on it- looks a picture all the time and of course NO FOOTBALL played on it which we all know does far more damage than RL ever will

Cas looks good as well- same reason and Wakefield has improved since part time football team stopped playing there
