Yer the drought now begins for 4 months

Pre season is ok when rumours of new signings start flying about and any new players are announced but if stories are true rovers seem to have sorted out their recruitment already (which should be a good advantage I suppose) so it could be even longer off season for us at least on that front

VERY VERY early prediction for next season should both teams have better luck with injury.........

The wildly optimistic amongst us tipped us for 6th. The more cautious (that's me folks) said 8th. I think it's a measure of our success that we came 7th and can feel disappointed that there were games we should have won but blew.

Fair play to all the Hull fans on here commending us - good to see the ground full and a new record attendance.

Seventh is more than most of us could have foreseen, I was hoping for 8th place so its been a bonus. I think the optimists who reckon on 4th next season might be disappointed, I think 6th is achieveable but breaking into the top 4 would be a giant leap forward and we would need much more strength in depth than we currently have. If we get the likes of Colbon, Fozzard and maybe a good no6 we should see an improvement, but to crack the likes of Saints, Wigan, Leeds and others over a full season will take some doing.

On the field, with the result. At least be gracious in defeat, it may be something we need to get used to.

I'm well used to it. Pressure's all on Rovers next season to kick on. No one expects us to do anything next year, what with being next to bottom this.

The only upside was hearing Gollum nearly creaming his trousers on the radio.

I agree with you there. We should have beaten Cas and Wakey but if you look at it from a different pespective ie we never really expected to beat St Helens or Warrington then i suppose it evens itself out.

Yes, we could have made the top six, no we did not deserve to. We have not been tough enough to beat on occasion and my fervent hope for next season is that we get a bit of grit into the side, and become more difficult to beat. If we can eliminate some of the cricket scores against us and maybe turn some of the marginal deafeats into marginal wins then we will be progressing nicely.

Hull have performed well below anyone's expectations. As a Rovers fan I am delighted that we finished above them, as a RL fan from Hull I am disappointed that the city has no representation in the play offs and regardless of their performance this season Hull must be favourite to fill that position next year.

Hull KR have been the better team in Hull this year, without a doubt. Unfortunately that says more about us.
