The Bradford situation is a tricky one. The rules as they stand don't allow for a team to be automatically ejected from SL just for going into admin, and removing a side from the competition mid season creates all sorts of problems anyway. I can see why assistance has been provided to keep them going until the end of the season. It's how they're dealt with going forward that will be the real test. Despite what people think, they are far from certain to be playing in SL from 2013 onwards.'"
the thing that gets me about bradford is that they didnt have enough money to pay this months wages but turned down a bid from warrington for bateman i can understand why they didnt want to sell but the RFL should have forced there hand instead of caving in

Yes.......
a, Attendances are to low to spend up on the cap next year.
b, Top earners not worth the money they are paid.
c, CS will get a chance to prove what he can do when he has all HIS signings next season.
d, The Bradford situation is a joke and the RFL are bending the rules to keep them in SL.
c, Supporters can not complain about performances next season because we are blooding kids.
e, The new stand has started!
All in all, he has made me think very hard as to weather getting a season pass next year is going to be worth the money!!!
Between Hudgell and the RFL I am staring to loose faith in our sport, sounded like Hudgell wants out to me!!!

| Far be it from me to praise Gwilym Lloyd, but, aside from shirking asking about Taylor, I thought he did a very good interview, as did Hudgell.
Hudgell was honest about the fact Rovers are at full cap and not getting value for it. I did get some sense though that Sandercock will be under pressure to deliver next year, "he'll be backing himself", I think was said.
Some sympathy about his view on Bradford, but ATEOTD the RFL will take strategic decisions for the bigger picture rather than apply consistency. It sucks, but it was was ever thus. Don't get the 12 clubs argument though, unless we'd get additional fixtures. For the record, he laboured the point on injuries and lack of key player availability. Seems these do have an impact, then.
There is a rumour he will hand over the reins next year, and his last comment didn't fly in the face of it. That'll be 10 years, I think? Could be a good opportunity to inject fresh investment, but he'd be an incredibly hard act to follow.

| As long as the weather remains above -35 deg, I'll be there.
As for Hudge, he's banged on about stepping aside for a while now. One day he will, but I'm sure he'll only step aside for the clubs' best interests and not his own.

Nothing to do with loyalty!!!
I didn't say I would go and support someone else, but if the RFL are going move the goal posts again then what is the point in turning up to games knowing that rules don't apply to some clubs!!!
Our sport is not being played on a level playing field at the moment, but we are all just expected to turn up week in week out!
Sorry, but if I feel the RFL are short changing me then I will stop going to watch RL, I will not be made a fool of by those idiots in Red Hall, and neither should our BOD.

| Hudgell sounded like any other disgruntled fan too me, He's put a hell of a lot of time and effort into our club and probably feels like we did, let down. He probably does feel the tines right to move on but I think hell only do it if and when the times right.

Never said I agreed with that either, and yes it was wrong to do what we did (IMO). The RFL should have never allowed it!
And I hardly went missing! I was not expecting to win against Wakefield, but it was an entertaining game.
And people that live in glass houses should not throw stones!!
Hull FC have had more than their fair share of rule bends!!!

a few teams have bent the rules in the past , the rfl knew full well wigan were breaking the cap but let them so they wouldnt be relegated , it doesnt take a scientist to know that wire work around the cap . wakey were docked 4pts for going into adminastration so why do bulls get 6pts off ?
i agree and share most peoples frustration about the way the game we love is been run , refs are substandard to say the least( even tho it seems only fc n kr fans seem to get the sharp end of it) , the london project has had over 20+ years and still hasnt worked and the stobart sponsership was quite frankly head scratch worthy .

| I'm obviously not a Rovers or Hudgell fan, but would be sorry to see him step down as he is a true fan (and bankroller) of your club. There doesn't seem to be anyone waiting in the wings to take over so his loss would be a major blow.
Lets hope for your sake that rumours of him stepping down are just rumours and not fact.

How can the RFL tell a legally appointed administrator to sell anything? Or not to sell anything for that matter? For instance, I'm pretty sure that the RFL would have stopped him sacking the entire coaching staff if they could have.
I get the feeling that there are games being played behind the scenes at Bradford and the RFL may have fewer choices about what to do than it might seem.

Rubbish just stop paying the players then they would have to sell to keep going look at Portsmouth football club they were made to sell all their top earners so Bradford should have sold theirs if it was a smaller club IE cas salford even us would they have baled us out i don't think so do you

The administrator doesn't care about the sport side of all this, his sole objective is to maximise revenue on behalf of the creditors. The most effective way of doing that is to sell the business as a going concern, something that relies on the assets being in place. Selling off players makes the club less attractive to a potential buyer and doesn't make sense to the administrator.

| Our whole board are Rovers fans, I suppose it's just a matter of how long do you choose, or are able to, keep ploughing money in.
NH sounded very realistic in this interview I thought.

| Aye, it's a job that sucks you dry no doubt. After about 10 years, if he's looking to step down the two next obvious landmarks would be the end of next season with the North Stand built and the year after with a new licence secured.
Always a difficult situation, especially when a club is reliant on board subsidy and there's no obvious successor.
Again difficult during a run of losses, but the club could do to find a happy face for PR purposes. Neither our coach or chairman are overly jovial and negativity can be self-fulfilling.

Of course he has, but he may be more willing to invest if he is the head guy and getting the credit and not just in the background.
I would welcome Mr Crossland as our chairman with open arms, he would do as good a job as Mr Hudgell if not better, Neil Hudgell has made some very strange decisions and taken some poor advice over the last couple of years which could be a sign of stress, and maybe a changing of the guard is just what we need.
Neil has been a legend for Hull KR and god knows what would have happened to us if he hadn’t stepped in when he did, but I do think it’s time for a change, the last thing we want is Neil going out on a sour note, he has secured the future of Hull KR and funding for the new stand so let that be his legacy, I would go so far as to suggest the stand being called the Neil Hudgell Stand.
