He didn't. Rovers club members got discount on at least one of the play off tickets last season, possibly both. IIRC there was a mention in it on the unnoficial forum last season....can't be @rsed to trawl through TBH.

And are you sure the turnstiles counted the attendance correctly? Presumably the North Stand was almost full if there were only 1,300ish tickets left.

Im not the expert in turnstiles Im afraid, you seem to have a keener interest in them & why they were installed, than I. However I would assume that each time one turns it is recoreded.
Im not sure what your getting at, are you hinting that HKR would intentionally inflate the attendance figures?

North Stand had approx 400 empty seats, this was offset by about 4-500 hardy souls braving the Zeebrugge Stand. Still, when it's only a tenner it's got to be worth it.

I'd be disappointed about the need to man the turnstiles when they were supposedly installed in November. Might pay back the investment by 2020 if you're lucky.

Unless you're a Hull fan in which you're herded into the south stand and charged a stupid amount of money for the privelidge!

I can see your point, I myself wouldn't choose to stand in the South stand. However Im sure thats not the only reason most of the "Faithful" chose not to attend.

500 paid to go in the South Stand yesterday when there were spaces in the North. Lunacy.

Granted we saw about as much as we'd see from your South Stand, but the fans were far friendlier

It makes no odds to me whether fans attend away games or not. I applaud fans commitment to their club & the sport.
As I said before, I would not choose to stand in the South stand, however I do know that "poor stadium facilities / price increase" wasn't the reason for some fans not attending the derby.

As will no doubt be proved on Good Friday
