| So much wrong with that performance.Where do you start? Pack overrun again. No brains in middle. Totally winnable game against a very poor backline. Taylor's try was a freak one but you just got the feeling that was how it was going to go? A few of their tries cane from poor defence but the Harris one was as bad as any of seen and last few year if seen a few. Quinlan Moss and Vai Via tried. The rest would struggle to shine in a u19's game

| I thought we were the least worse of 2 rubbish teams. You really need to focus on the middle 8s now and make sure you have a reasonable squad of players fit and ready by then

I agree. We were too strong up front with only Bowden and flash missing. Backs are decimated though and most are longer term injuries. None back for a month at best

| Disappointed but not surprised. Pack not good enough, but we have known this all season. Crazy level of injuries have robbed us of any leadership and any luck we have seems to be bad luck. Not sour grapes that,s just the way I see it.
9 games left, we will do well to win 3, therefore probably bottom 2 barring some miracle.
Time to protect the key players so that they are available when it matters.
With a reasonably fit squad we have a good chance of survival, but with an injury ravaged squad come the eights I fear the drop awaits.
It cannot be allowed to happen.
I genuinely think we are better than the other likely eight candidates, but we have got to prove it.
Never agreed with throwing kids or reserves in, but maybe now justifies the means to protect the key personnel.
Very worrying times. We supporters need some good news and fast.

Agree with every word. Was very disappointed after Good Friday game but after today just half expected it. Another bitter pill to swallow as a fan but no lessons seem to be being learnt. Injuries or not we just are not big enough physically as a team

I don't think bringing Yeaman back is the answer but with Griffin out now he might be playing a few games the French kid looks lively

Wow, thats a kiss of death and a half.
He passed in front of us as he was being helped off and it was a sad sight. Fingers crossed for him that it isnt as bad as it looked.

(Queue Pythons Yorkshireman sketch...)
What? A whole month? Luxury. Try 6-8 weeks for most of ours. Etc.
Good performance from us today. Nothing wrong with the crossbar try but it was typical of our luck this season. Nothing is really sticking at the moment. As for Smith being injured in first few minutes, of course he was, he was playing at Hooker for HKR and isn't called Lee. Why doesn't HE ever get injured? Thankfully Atkin (really a HB) is surviving. If he gets injured we should just pack up for this season.
I predict a maximum of two more wins this season.
Just keep Lunt, Carney and the rest in rehab/bubble wrap until m8s and we'll do fine. Toronto and Toulouse aren't as good as they think they are.

You are better than Toronto and Toulouse on paper, but you have a tricky balancing act now. You need to make sure your stars are fit but you also need to be going into the 8s with a little bit of form and everyone singing off the same hymn sheet. You cant hide everyone away for a couple of months and then flick a switch and expect everyone to start playing their best rugby
Other than "be more lucky," I dont know what the answer is.

The penny hasn't dropped far enough. If NH goes, so does the club.

| What we do need is a fast supporting full back for me Quinlan would be better in the half a good few times yesterday we broke through with no one in support you get a fast full back in there and we probably score another 3 try’s and win even with the poor goal line defence

You could say the same about Hull and most other teams over the weekend though.

| Been banging on about getting keiren moss in the team sadly i fear 3 tries wont be enough to keep his place will it tim.Instead of us being void of pace at half back, ever thought of quinlan to halfback and moss to full back, where he played very well last season, never happen will it tim, lets keep lee and blair at half back, who haven't played badly but are both void of pace and aren't half backs.Quinlan played half back in oz,so has had experience and moss is a good fullback.I know you cant help the injury situation, but why not try a half back who can run ??

My post on monday and i thought i was being sarcastic about moss being dropped,if he is not injured and available, after watching rovers since 1964 sheens has lost my faith in him,how can he justify his decision to drop moss. What does he have to do to keep his place.A disgrace imo.

Honest question, would you play him ahead of Carney? It does seem harsh if you have dropped him after a very well taken hat trick, but what else did he offer? With your pack as it is you need guys like Carney to carry the ball and punch some holes, and would he have scored those 3 tries anyway?
Or is there room for both of them in the team?

I wouldn't play him in front of carney but shaws not playing so thought he'd be in the squad

Didn't realise Shaw wasn't there either. It does seem an odd decision then. Maybe more likely that he has a knock.

I would play one of the backs in the halves to give us a bit of pace.Quinlan to off half, moss to full back would be one option, moss played very well at full back last season, and quinlan has plenty of experience in oz at half back. The halves is a key position in all teams, take a look at other teams halfbacks even in the lesser teams, miller very quick over a short distance, lui, quality, huddersfield brough sharp and annoying. Then look at us,blair who has been great for us and lee, neither who could go the full length on an open field.I think atkins has potential but sheens appears to prefer lee and blair to him which i find baffling. As regards the question would i prefer moss or carney,i would prefer somebody who is confident,in great form 10 tries in his last 3 matches versus somebody who is coming back from a shoulder injury a month early.
Other than the fact shaw is a very good goal kicker, moss is far better than him, shaw couldnt tackle the wifes sunday dinner, chris chester knew that, which is why they thrashed us twice, just attack the shaw wing,6 tries in the 1st match and i lost count in the 2nd match, and no iam not moss's agent.lol.
