Peacock appoints Webster and says 'James has all the tools at his disposal to see an immediate upturn in the club's fortunes.'
Hudgell says Webster will be the new coaches assistant.
Today Webster says his future is uncertain and there has been little dialogue.

Coaching has been handled poorly throughout Hudgell's tenure but for the excellent and (arguably) lucky appointment of Justin Morgan. We now look like heading into a critical phase with no certainty who the new coach is. And the man charged with our SL survival unaware of his own future. Great job.

Maybe peacock's involvement is the sticking point for a new coach? Supposedly he wanted nothing to do with coaching but is now involved in coaching and hasn't he said that the coach would be given the players and expected to coach them? Hardly likely to be an environment a decent coach would want to be involved with. hudds and possibly leeds and saints jobs could also be available by the end of the season so any good coaches may be hedging their bets.

You could do worse than appoint agar, but not much worse I'd expect

got to say I have not herd any substantiated rumors who your new coach is I thought it could be Macnamara but I'm not too sure he is silly enough to give up a great well paid roll at the roosters to step into a hot seat in this city with your squad as it sits currently, for me he has never really proved himself as a head coach and it would be a big gamble for him and you, I would think Rovers would pursue a second coach who wants a big job but can not get that opportunity in Aus would be more likely, but the hunt is on by giants now and if saints fall any lower I can see them replacing there coach it is worrying for you that no announcement has been made yet and from an outsider looking in you have to wonder what direction HKR are being steered and by who, the Jamie Peacock position could be a stumbling block for any new coach his role seems to read across both roles where as Motu never comments about match days or performance, interesting to see how it pans out and who the guy is when the appointment is made

what i do not understand if hudgell knows who he wants at kr has head coach and he said its 95% done then name them if its a stumbling block peacock having too much to do with recruitment then you reign him in and state he has to work side by side with new coach but first job get rid of conditioners and defence coach and start again cos surely it is the basics of a great team.. also should it matter which league were in cos if they are great coaches they could over come these hurdles.. but i believe 100% we wont be in million pound game we will qualify third poss second, it will be salford playing game.. i think kr need to srip team back and start again no more average joes i think we may all count on one hand who we would keep from first team like for me it would be mantallato.blair.greenwood.green.wardill for defo

When will everybody realise we can't announce a new coach until we're safe in SL no top line coach is coming to coach in the championship

yes fun time i realise that but also believe kr will be safe and think deep down kr know we may have too much quality for the 8's we did last season even when leigh did what they did and signed lots of players.. just my opinion thats all mate i think it will finish leeds/kr/huddersfield/salford/leigh salford and leigh million pound game.. but just me thinking if there is anything about a top coach he would be committed just like morgan was we was championship but he got us into superleague he may not of being proven but why not try getting him back

What makes you think we would finish above Hudds and Salford?

I felt a lot more confident last year the difference this year is Leeds Huddersfield are better than last years Widnes and Wakefield and Salford this year are better than Salford last year throw in the Oldham debacle and it has me worried even though we cruised through them last year with the Wembley distraction to me beating Hudds and Leeds in the league is essential

I think finishing 9th or 10th as opposed to 11th or 12th could be what gives us home advantage in the MPG.

I also think on paper Leigh have a better side and they will be more prepared.
