From what I saw Bell's your better choice from your U20's.

I expect Withers will get the nod.

As for Kristian Bell, last season he played at 6 in the u18s, then played 13 in the u20s. In other words, he isn't a scrum half!

It seems the consensus on this thread feel the reserves aren't ready, hence the suggestion to look at players at other clubs. I don't agree but thats by the by, we are all entitled to our opinion.

For me, Murrell must never ever be considered as Dobbo's replacement simply based on his woeful displays last season. I wouldn't select him in any position at the moment; he is missing tackles, not making any ground, his work rate has fallen; he looks like a player out of form.

Had a chat with the sports science boffins on campus and they are suggesting (but not confirming) Dobbo is being treated for a grade 1 injury to the Acromioclavicular Joint (AC).

I have looked it up - he’s sprained it!

Treatment is cold therapy, immobilisation, ibuprofen for the swelling, and a minimum of two weeks rest. Fingers crossed they are right!

So, only a month out.

If he is out for 3 weeks then the timing is pretty good.

He'll miss Sts and wire (games we'd have struggled in anyway and wont be although we'd like to win wouldn't be targetted games)

Going back to the Q I posed, then, its probably a safe assumption to suggest Sandy will go with Lincoln Withers at 7 and bring in Carlile to support Josh Hodg.
