The council got a windfall and had cash in the bank, which they chose to spend on a community stadium. At what point exactly was the Hull taxpayer exposed to a £40m risk? In today's case, Rovers don't have the money, the council don't have the money, so they're forced to go to central government to borrow the money and therefore expose the taxpayer to risk for the next 30 years. If you can't see the difference, I think your giddiness has the better of you.

It's not the club I'm concerned about. Only in so much as I worry if they can snap off the council's hand quickly enough before the council have to resign through a vote of no confidence. As well you know.

Why, all previous statements about this happening have come true, if anything today should be your worst nightmare.

I don't live in Hull, so am not affected by the council exposing its rate payers to a £4.2m risk, so why would it give me nightmares? You're the ones who should be worried, big pressure on now to hit more than 10k every week as your costs have gone up and you need 10k just to break even.

Your costs have gone up, confirmed by Phil Webster's comment on the loan interest/rental payments. Your chairman has said you need 10,000 average to break even. And I don't live in Hull. All sounds right to me.

Speaking of not living in Hull, why do you spend your time worrying about Rovers then?....
...surely in these hard times, your time would be better spent on the Cas and/or Wakie forums, questioning the moves to build 2 stadia instead of one.

Why should the break even figure on attendances go up. If the current income streams stay the same then the break even figure will of course rise but your not taking into account Rovers income streams increasing.

Also a figure of £54000 has being mentioned as a repayment figure per annum. Now if we get an extra 3000 Hull fans for the derby due to the North stand with those Hull fans each paying £18 each then i make that the £54000 per annum needed.

So the council are paying back the prudential fund at say 3% interest (average for central government funding), Rovers and friends pay the council a nominal amount until attendances rise in 4 years, and the council isn't disadvantaged by this cashflow shortfall? OK then. And "as and when" attendances don't go up? Who guarantees the repayments? Ah, yes, the Hull ratepayers.
