Camera angles are deceptive regarding forward passes.

I can tell you the pass was forward, even taking into account the momentum rule.

I can also tell you to expect more Rovers domination of the city next season.

just the position of the player on release and then the position of the player when he caught it , got jack all to do with the hands dude and i`m afraid to say but the ball travelled forwards about 1mtr to 1 1/2mtrs hence forward pass....... none of this momentum bull that we have seen in the past it was forward.....

i will add that i have seen teams get away with far worse and probably will do in the future but not on this occasion

For the benefit of the Robins fans that do not understand what a forward pass is, this is directly from the RFL:

[iThe direction of a pass is relative to the player making it and
not to the actual path relative to the ground. A player running
towards his opponents’ goal line may throw the ball towards
a colleague who is behind him but because of the thrower’s
own momentum the ball travels forward relative to the
ground. This is not a forward pass as the thrower has not

The pass was 100% backwards relative to Craig Hall's run. If it wasn't, the ball would have ended up in front of him (which it didn't). If the ball went forward relative to the ground (which I can't tell from the TV camera views) is irrelevant no matter how close it was. The ball clearly is backwards relative to Hall's run, even at the worst of angles.

That's unfair. The guy has shown his integrity with that statement. He came out and said he had no plan to stop Cookie and sent his team out to prove it.

I know what you mean. All those other coaches in SL must have amazing gameplans to stop the Stella drinker as thats the first game he has ever scored a try at Craven Park in. If only we had a decent coach
