We haven't managed to string 2 performances back to back yet, so I'm not getting giddy about last night. We are consistently inconsistent.

Don't understand why you think you're going to lose? Your attack will absolutely destroy us. I won't say injuries are going to cost us the game because they won't. It's poor coaching in my eyes and it's a massive loss that we need to get Pearson to open his eyes and sort it out.

I've seen us play 3 away games so far. That's why I think we'll lose.

I wouldn't get over confident about an automatic derby win. Albert Kelly said in interview last week on Hull KR TV that the teams main aim is to put several consistent performances together on the bounce. This is something we have failed to do so far this season.
As I have said in a separate post on a different thread in this forum, our good performances this year are all down to us getting the key basics of tempo and effective game plan spot on. If we fail, we end up playing catch up Rugby or lose embarrassingly. If we are on our game, we have the talent, creativity and team spirit to outperform all opposition.

The hardest games to predict are derby games,and would never want to gamble on one.On current form it has to be rovers,but how many times have we seen the minnows from the kc stadium shock teams.

This season Rovers have definitely performed better against the bigger clubs. Another reason I'm concerned about this match.

We will beat them, will be close at half time but we are stronger in the 2nd half as a team and should have enough to kill them off.

hope you are right it does look on paper that way, but if you look at past derby's it does not mean a thing been the form team but we can change that i hope

I hope the HDM and other RL journalists bang on all week about our 28-0 loss there last year, and i hope CC brings it up everychance he gets, I know it's different players but this lot we have now seem to have a bit of a connection with the fans and i don't believe they will let us down,

That made me laugh and I get your point Frankie. If we was winning 22-0 with ten minutes to go I would be still cacking myself. IMO you should win Thurs. But this is a derby and as seen before anything can happen. Should be a cracking atmosphere

being a kr fan i never expect anything with kr, we were amazing against saints but poor against widnes and amazing against catalan so i expect a defeat. but also fc will play to prove a point they are fully supporting radford. so if we can sort out our defence we will be great

Hull are an indifferent team, in barely indifferent form. But they're not dreadful, despite the prevailing doom and gloom. They lack a bit of x-factor, but from the little I've seen and heard of them this year, they're pretty dogged and they certainly don't give up many points.

Rovers are showing some promising signs, and it feels like we're heading in the right direction. The mood is different, but we're only a couple of points ahead of them in the table, ateotd.

They'll be desperate to start climbing the table, and if they can make it attritional early on, it'll be tough. It's great to have some 'gadget plays' in our locker, but until we get another prop in, it does feel a bit like we're relying on them.

CC made reference that we/he didn't need any additional motivation this week largely due to negative media comments and Barrie Mac's comments "tap and pass team" .. and we wanted to show everyone we're not. Well, I think we achieved that. Our commitment in defence was first class. Every facet we've lacked was there on Friday. Line speed, aggression, numbers in the tackle, successful one on one tackling = good team defence. Phil Clarke said something like this policy was 'only a short term solution etc'. To some extent I agree, we need to turn up week in week out, with this attitude. The worst thing we can do is start to believe our own hype. We need to battle and work our socks off to get anything out of games. The St Helens game can act as a benchmark to what we can do, and one we should be looking to try and replicate each week starting on Thurs ...

In theory the derby shouldn't need any additional motivation .. but after last year's debacle, who knows? Hull FC represent no bigger threat than that of the other lesser SL sides we've travelled to so far and have come away with nothing. So another substandard away performance and we'll likely be nil and four away from home.

Has anyone ordered tickets off Groupon, I have for a couple of mates and they haven't arrived yet, anyone else having issues?

I spoke to Groupon on Friday as I am waiting for mine. They referred me to the RFL. I spoke to them on Friday and they blamed FC for the delay saying they had not sending them the tickets. They said they were getting them either Saturday or Monday and they should be posted out Monday evening. I queried what would happen if the did not show up by Thursday and the RFL said to contact them if they don't turn up.
