Out of interest, how many of you Rovers fans would actually have a wedding function at the KC? Having many a red n white friend i can say, with great confidence, they wouldnt do it.

They would have to take anywhere going at that short notice i imagine.
So KC cannot be that popular for Wedding Do's.

To be fair to Sky, end of season games are always likely to be changed at short notice, there is no point in selecting the TV Games from the last couple of rounds too far in advance or you may end up with a game where there is nothing at sake, the Rovers/Wire game is important to both sides, Rovers win and we finish third and Warrington are unlikely to make the play offs.

As for having a wedding reception at the KC I don't see a problem, it is also City's homeground and not owned by Hull FC.

Most weddings are booked months in advance. The football fixture list didn't come out until 11th June. If I were an FC supporter wanting to get married at the KC I wouldn't risk it potentially being on a Saturday in the football season when City were at home. Similarly if I were a City fan wanting to get married at the KC, I wouldn't risk it potentially being on a Saturday when City were away. But clearly the availability of the KC on one particular day is enough for you to conclude it's an unpopular wedding venue per se.

If this was me I would be absolutely gutted. One of the biggest days of your life and you get told you've got to rearrange it at the last minute, nightmare. I hope they still manage to enjoy it, but reckon this could impact on future bookings for Rovers, perhaps they ought not to take bookings, or take them with an agreement that the couple are aware that there is a high risk during the season that they may have to cancel.

I knew a guy years ago who was a big ice hockey fan. Got married at a Seahawks game.

Players formed a guard of honour & they skated onto the ice & had the ceremony...with the crowd singing "you don't know what you're doing".

Not what I'd want as a wedding day memory!

I used to be a big boxing fan, and in particular of "The Punching Jeweller", Gary Mason.

Anyway, me and ms. pmh are down in fancy Larndan one day and I decided to pop the question. Obviously, she knew she wouldn't do any better than a suave sophisticated geezer, like me, with a high level of panache (by Léntheric) and accepted whilst in floods of tears.

So, we mosey off to get a rock for the lady and stumbled across Gary Mason's jewellers. Gets ms. pmh a belting rock, platinum setting, 1 carat, you know the score. During this moment of heart touching romance, which Gary seemed to be quite enjoying sharing with us, a thought pops into my usually dull and sterile swede, so, plucking up the courage and I puts me proposal to The Big G Man.

Fast forward three months and there we are getting married in the ring before Big Gary's much anticipated bought against former Olympic super heavy weight champion, Tyrell Biggs.

Brilliant. I'm loving it. ms. pmh looking sweet in a Bruce Oldfield taffeta number, I'd gone a bit left field with a safari suit, desert boot combo and The Gster fired up and ready to go when ms. pmh joshingly says to Gary;

"Have you always had such a big fat flat nose, cos pretty lucky if you have, what with being a boxer and all?"

Gary's psyched up ready for his fight and takes immediate umbridge to this slur and replies, rather haughtily;

"Might have a big fat flat nose but at least me fizzogs not a body double for a melted welly like thee, love"

Can't let that go can I? But before I can jump across the ring to take this up with Brother G, ms. pmh has got over there first and caught him a pearler in the nack-a-jimas-and-pliers with her [ivery[/i pointy Christian Louboutin's.

It's all gone off from there, messy, very messy. Too messy for a family board like this.
