So Agar takes the blame for Cooke's non signature or their inability to get any transfer fee or compensation for him. He was responsible for Crocker's non arrival and the other import who spent three quarters of a season on pay kicking his heels thousands of miles away and the CC debacle concerning Thackery. Agar has made the shirts turn from black to grey after one wash and he was responsible for the club going against accountants advice when filing their accounts. He also signed King for an extra year but decided he could have that year on holiday with pay. The same board were celebrating "getting one over on Rovers" when Crooks signed and were left with "egg on their faces" when they decided to sack him only a year into his contract.
Apart from this then Agar's done a magnificent job.

Our board have done some things wrong (the only one that actually worries me is appointment of the wrong coach), but they havent put us in the position where we could not have a club in 5 years if things dont improve off the field. All your board has done is spend money they dont have in getting you in the position that you are, same happened to Leeds Utd and Bradford City.
Back on to Clinton he will be a good signing if he can get his form back from 5 years ago.

Lets forget these twisted quota rules and the ridiculous passport rules for just one minute and add Clinton and say Lima to those names. That would make 10 overseas players in next season squad.

Its 10 if you add Clinton and Lima as GZ was alluding to to as a possible signing. I know Lovegrove doesn't count now, but he had special dispensation originally and was therefore NOT Fed trained or homegrown. Its way too many imo and is typical of the mindset at most SL clubs now. Even Hull have 7.

Clinton is already on the list and including lovegrove that makes 8, add Lima and that takes it to 9 or is there another thats missing from the list.

Doesn`t fill me with pride as a Rovers supporter.,completely the way NOT to go. You cannot tell me we couldnt get a prop equal to Clinton for the money hes on, British lads would fall over themselves for his deal.
We cannot hide behind these rule exemptions and clauses forever. It is going to hurt us when those players leave and cannot be replaced.
Price the club pays i suppose for having a coach who only deals with 2 agents.

And that's the point, there isn't.
Off the top of my head we'd ideally be looking at players like Andy Lynch who's on a long term deal at Bradford, Eorl Crabtree, long term deal at Huddersfield or Louis McCarthy-Scarsbrook, who, you've guessed it is on a long term deal at Harlequins.
Larry Billey, you seem a bit negative about RL in general, do you actually enjoy the games?

This only makes them eligible to [iapply[/i for Fed Trained status while in the last year of their contract. Their status then changes upon termination of that contract.

| i agree that we do have too many quota players at Rovers, next season could be a great time to cut that down, hopefully ratu can prove good enough to replace Jake Webster and Matt Cook replace Galea, im hoping young Liam Watts will play a bit this season too, maybe and yes its a big maybe he can put pressure on Mick Vella for the 2011 season.

You know I would love someone from the club to confirm that Vella and Fisher are now federation trained.
Is there any way of finding out officially?
I asked Mr Hudgell via the online forum but no answer.

Lets put things in perspective!!
O'Meley played in a struggling side, which contained the likes of Mason,Anasta, Fitzgibbon and Minichiello etc etc. - a team which failed to live up to its expectations,in other words a poorly coached side.ie Brad Fittler.
On the other hand!
Clinton played for an elite side, once managed by the best coach in the world-Wayne Bennett.,and has not improved under his guidance.
It will be worth the admission money alone,to see O'Meley and Clinton go head-to head!!
I know, who I'll be backing to come out on top!!

We get this every season, I prefer ours to play RUGBY thanks. You can have all the hard cases you want, lets face it they don't come much harder than Radford, but he is e on a rugby field.
