| I just enjoy night games in general and the JJB is a brilliant place to go. I enjoy the trip up there having a couple of beers and listening to my "Rovers Away Days CD"
I like Wigan, I think the atmosphere there is great and I think you are a great bunch of fans, I always get talking to Wigan fans both home and away.

Good to hear that you rovers fans are growing on me
Whats the atmosphere like compared to other places, our home fans have never been very good when you guys have been in town because you always play well against us.

| best thing i like about wigan is you never get any trouble unlike warrington and sometimes sts and leeds you can tell that wigan and there fans only care about rugby league which is the best thing for the family sport not abuse before and after the game. oh yea and it will be good to hear all your other songs then so you lot will have to change my mind about your songs

| Its a good set up at Wigan. Virtually all the away support parks in the same place, thus all end up in the same bar on the way to the ground. That helps to prepare the atmosphere when you get inside the stadium.
The JJB is my favourite amongst new all seater stadiums in SL. This is due to the steep angle of the seating, making you feel a lot closer to the action than at the KC or the Galpharm. The prices are also very good (£16 v £21 for this years derby).
I think the memory of those 2 wins in 2007 also makes most Rovers fans look forward to the next visit. A couple of sound beatings and perhaps we will hate the place?

The stadium is great for an atmosphere IMO, and your fans are relatively loud when you want to be. Put it this way, away at the JJB is the best away fixture IMO (apart from at Hull.)

| the only reason you like wigan is because youve got that bluddy pub on the corner which is named after the robin! i may see a few of you lot in there for a beer before the game- cant usually miss me, im the one with the drum ( i.e was on the telly in edinburgh whilst on the phone)
i can see there being a good attendance on with a few of the wigan casuals coming out now we're in a bit of form!
could be a classic!

Our fans can be awesome when the team plays well, every time you guys have been in town you have beaten us or played well and stopped us from running away with it. If its a close game it will be a great atmosphere.

| I've been a Rovers supporter since 1973 when age 7, barely missing a home game since, so have seen a few highs and lows.
I must admit I haven't travelled to many away matches for about 20 years but the chance of Rovers being top of the league on Friday night means that it's a match I can't miss- has anyone looked in the history books to note the last time we topped the league - probably not since we were champs in 1985 I'm guessing but perhaps I'm mistaken? I'm looking forward to my first visit to the JJB (or is the the Dave Whelan stadium now?)- where's the place to park?
I too have always had a soft-spot for Wigan fans ..... how many remember that Charity Shield weekend in the Isle of Man (was that 1985?)? It was a good weekend- I guess that Rovers were at their peak then (before a rapid decline) and Wigan were an emerging force.
My gut instinct says that as a team we have some great individuals but there are still enough technical deficiencies in certain players (positional sense and tackling technique in particular) that means we won't maintain 2nd spot (or higher!) but the effort and commitment are excellent and that counts for a heck of a lot in the big matches.
It's a great achievement to be where we currently are - onwards and upwards!

Erm....Yeah after 5 games of our first Superleague season actually the night we beat Leeds.
Admittedly this was only for 1 night as it probably will be this weekend should we beat Wigan
