Our cobbled together team did alright against the champions, didn't deserve to lose.

Same couldn't be said about Hull with their "paper thin" defence, losing by such a score to a team missing Finch, Leuluai, Richards (kicker), Goulding, and Prescott.

Could have been worse, could have been like the home fixture.

ref was bad for both sides and leeds did get a try disallowed so swings and roundabouts did a lot better than i thought and glad sandycock kept faith with the youngsters

I know it will never happen but would it not be nice if their was controversial decisions in a match when the officials look at the game after the match if the ref is wrong change the result

It's the nature of our sport that any narrow defeat can be blamed on a refereeing decision.

My gut feeling is that there really may be an unconscious bias towards the top teams. Hell, I even had a modicum of sympathy for Hull getting Child-sed on Friday and that ain't natural.

On the other hand the the top teams are more likely to capitalise on favourable decisions (providing memorable evidence for the prosecution) and defend those that go against them (which then tend to be forgotten).

The ref was poor, but it was our poor start to the 2nd half that lost us that game IMO, allowing Leeds into a game they should have been out of, great experience for the young lads though. Just read in HDM that the ref has said he should have given us a pen in front of the sticks on 75 mins but played the advantage instead. Disappointing to hear but we have to move on.

Leeds were scratchy apart from their 10 minute spells at the start/end of the second half. The effort from all our lads was top notch, with the young guns standing up well to the 'myriad of internationals' within the Leeds team. It all boiled down to key decisions at the end and Leeds made the better. Fair play to them.

Anyone who saw FC's TV game @ Leeds last month will remember Roby was pretty rubbish then, with Leeds probably benefitting a few times from some of his interpretations. Makes James Child look competent. Scary.

To any fans blaming the ref, I'd first look at Scott Taylor for dropping that ball when it was a certain try. That wasn't the ref's fault.

Swings and roundabouts really, either team could have won it.

The only person to see this knock on appeared to be the referee. For clarity, it was never a certain try either. There must have been at least 4 Leeds players involved in the tackle. Taylor was never going to get that ball down.

Unless you're referring to his knock on in the first half. Which required a 'Foster-esque' round the back take. Not something that will come natural to a prop forward.

It's all well and good saying he was bad for both sides, but when we were a point down, and Leeds were offside in defence in front of their posts, for him to say to Dobson,"I'm not giving you the penalty, I'll let you play the advantage" isn't the best of options, when the penalty would have won us the game.

How's that a dummy spit you tool? Merely stating a fact to actually admit there had been an offense commited and not award the penalty with the game poised as it was, is a game breaking decision on his part, he's even admitted as much his self.
