Well Mantellato kicked 2/2 in the Knights reserve grade grandfinal loss.
Pretty sure he has had a clean sheet in his last 4 games at least - 13/13 streak at least - can't remember how he went before that.
So he starts for you on a streak - but I think his best is in the mid 20s.

so are we any wiser to when hull kr will announce these new players. because as we all know we need a 6, 7, 9 and possible 1, if ben cockayne leaves the club and retires.. it isn't filling me with confidence that we all go back preseason in 5 weeks with the major pivots missing??

Mike Smith was due back this weekend so we might hear some news on the half backs.

I have been informed Rovers are talking to three players - a prop (played in the play-offs) and two loanees from Wigan (Burke and A N Other).

Apparently, Rovers have signed a 9 and are waiting for the other club to announce it - there is a transfer fee involved.

I have heard the Cockayne rumour but have no idea if there is any substance to it.

As for pre-season only a month or so away, it will be what it will be, do we want to sign players on the basis of that deadline alone, I don't think so. I agree it isn't ideal but the Board are doing everything they can to bring the right players to the club. IMO we might well be waiting till after the New Year, mind you I think I would want to delay signing until after Boot Camp!!!!

True and we have signed players before today in seasons gone about 2 weeks before the season starts so no panic yet

Very true but when it's 3 possibly 4 of your main playmakers then it's a concern, a massive concern so let's not play it down. I've got faith that we will get it sorted but continuity usually brings success in rugby league .

Tommy lee wouldnt be my 1st choice but we could sign a lot worse,player of the season at london(I know its not the best) and the salford fans want him to stay,so maybe not as bad as you think, I hope.

True tommy lee is better than people are making out but the fact is he would be replacing our best player and unless were signing a lot better halves (which is doubtful at this stage) then I'm thinking it's maybe a come down we can't do with? As for signing Campese/Dureau despite the quality surely that's a risk given there recent injury problems?

why would huddersfield exchange or even part exchange with fee walker for brough, i cannot see it happening. but like others have said it is a gamble campese and dureu but, if they stay fit that would be amazing but we will have to just hope that mike smith as got it right and not thinking safe money on players bigger bonus for me lol

Brough signed a 5 year contract last season,so I doubt that would be happening.

Hard to see Dureau and Campese working together in the halves.
They would both want to run the show.
Too many Chiefs and not enough Indians.

Roopy what's your thoughts on Tom Humble & Luke Capewell or Luke Kelly & Joseph Paulo??

I've always been a fan of Tom Humble (by fan, I mean I hate to see him play against the Knights, because we usually lose). He plays really well at fullback, 5/8, halfback and can play hooker as well. He has played reserve grade really well at about 4 different clubs but never seems to cement a spot in firstgrade, and I think it's because he is seen as a Jack of all trades and a master of none.

Of the names Pac mentions Luke Kelly looks the biz; What's Beau Henry up to, his name was flying around before Rovers settled on Blake?

Not one of those players mentioned inspires any confidence In the team next year surely to god there's better options out there? If there isn't then why let Burns and Hodgson go in the 1st place? If that's what Mike Smith has come back with then his role needs seriously looking at IMO
