I only ever watch stuff I've recorded now. Rovette still says 'taped' much to the amusement/bemusemnt of her niece and nephews. The exception being sport.
This does mean I no longer have conversations that start 'did you see such-and-such last night...', which was about 50% of my small talk.

Just the same, even if there is something that I fancy watching straight away I tend to give it a 10/15 minute start, then i can fast forward through any adverts.

Also it's better if it's several episodes, I can 'save' them up and watch them without having to wait a week between episodes. I don't mind if people give away the end either still enjoy watching.

Same here, rarely watch live TV, usually series link stuff and record films and then argue when Ms. Terrorist won't watch them or if she does purposefully asks; "Whose he?" "Why are they doing that?" and "I thought they were dead" all the way through.

It has it's down side though, I used to religiously watch Jools Holland every week, now I series link it and never watch it.
