Neil is alluding to the level of SC spending - whether or not the BoD will sanction another year of operating at the high end of the SC.

One positive out of all of this, If rovers was to go bust, our gates would no doubt increase again, half your fans are HULL fans, it's why your obsessed with our club.

We've been over this before my cheeky little impish chum.

Rovers financial constraints have been well documented for years, just because you've been saying we're imminently going bus for the last six years, doesn't make it true. It still doesn't.

Hudgell's been saying for well over a year that he's not prepared (and probably can't afford) to bank roll the club indefinitely, and why should he?

There are currently not enough people attending Rovers to make it viable for us to spend the full cap, our cloth needsto be cut accordingly, our position is that as a group of fans we'll get the team we're prepared to finance. The way things are at the moment and especially with Hull's economy, Rovers need to reevaluate how we go about things.

Now, whether that's that we remain a club that's fighting it out for eighth spot with a reduced wage bill, (this should have been attainable this season with this squad) getting into bed with Allam, or eventually remaining solvent and playing Championship rugby is what we as a group of fans have to trust Hudgell and Crossland to come to the correct conclusion.

I do agree that having a fan running the business can lead to a clouding of jusgement, but I also think it has it's positives. An investor type chair person would never have got us out of the Championship because they wouldn't have been their in the first place!

Lastly, fans wishing the extinction of other clubs are =#FF0000gormers for whom a special hell is reserved - poetic edit, MR No infringement ther Mr. Darth.

I do not wish the extinction of your club or indeed any other for that matter. What I do want to see is Hudgell and everyone connected with rovers pay for their arrogance, especially towards us (Cooke etc) when you first joined sl. Now what's wrong with that? Sadly I believe you will come out of this unscathed.

A simple analysis of the posters on this very thread will prove that statement is 180 degrees worth of incorrect.

I for one had these taunts directed at me from FC fans I know, some who are mates were saying the exact same, can I assume they have been masquerading as FC fans all these years and are really Cas, Wakey and leeds fans.

The posts on RLFans banging on about 8 easy points were mainly from fans of other SL clubs complaining about the 'unfair advantage' it gave us. Simple fact. The vast majority of FC fans understood that derbies are simply not predictable that way.

Having said that, if Cooke hadn't jumped ship who knows what may have happened...

Well, it's a difficult one. I don't pay enough attention to Hull to fully understand why you all mistrust him so much apart from his fanciful Melton ideas.

The "soft loan"/"gift" doesn't appear to have been a major issue but without having detailed insider knowledge of thos meetings and the ramifications behind them it's impossible to judge.

He doesn't appear to have made such a bad job of running his own business all these years.

I suppose the real question is at what threat of a merger would we be? Let's be honest, a merger would mean Rovers being consumed by Hull, but whilst Pearson is at Hull there's absolutely nothing that I can see in it for him in geting into bed with Allam. The only way I can see that scenario panning out would be for Allam to buy Rovers and then for Pearson to sell Hull to Allam when he feels he's taken that business as far as he can.

Is Allam that well off? And perhaps more tellingly, why would a multi millionaire business person sink a huge chunk of his money that he's spent a lifetime buliding up into a sport that hardly anyone has ever made any money at?

Unless he's completely mental, that would explain it.
