Went looking at kitchen tiles yesterday. You can get so many lovely designs, styles and materials these days. made me want to tile my whole house, even the ceilings. Power wash it out every now and again, jobs a good un.

I recommend wood-effect laminate flooring on all possible surfaces.

I see dum dum's point about tiles in upstairs bathrooms, but he's just being mardy because he has to go crawling about.

I reckon (from a position of absolutely no knowledge) you can get them waterproof, they have these membrane things that you put under the tiles.

If I go to a nice hotel that's on a few floors, I don't want lino in my bathroom.

Tiles everywhere, I'm even going to tile my garden.

We spent a couple of nights there for our first wedding anniversary. It's lovely, really quite & relaxing & only a short drive from the coast if your looking for somewhere more lively.

Tiles/laminate; i think it depends on the style age of the house. I do like carpet though, not for kitchen or bathroom.

But I do have an irrational dislike of those tiny mosaic tiles (Tesserae) especially blue ones.

Friend of mine just told me about a house near hi parents called "Tucksumdoin".

I'm going to a house tomorrow called "Menistones" if it's mad of many stones I think I will have to kill them.
