Quote ="The_Mighty_F90"Just going on what your chairman stated in the mail.
At the time of buying them they had posted a profit of £32,000 on crowd averages of 13,753
He stated that there had been a lot of under investment at the club and would work to put that right.
So you would reasonably assume that the clubs running costs and the level of investment has increased
since Adam Pearson made the statement.
in 2010 Hull FC posted a £32,000 profit on crowd averages of 13,753
in 2011 Hull FC posted a £250,000 loss on crowd averages of 12,418
in 2012 Hull FC posted a £500,000 loss on crowd averages of 11,888
So far Hull FC are 3,200 fans down on the same fixtures from 2012 even
after the £5 entry for the Cas game and £10 bring a friend offers for the Catalans and Hull KR game
so you could assume that this years losses will be greater than last seasons
Crowd figures are not the full picture but you can see that there is a relationship between
crowd figures and profit even after ignoring all the other factors like sponsorship (Minstergate), corporate
hospitality and merchandise sales (40% off everything again).
Maybe Mrs B could pick the bones out of the above and help you out with a response.
'"
Thought I 'd help you get this thread BOT - obvioulsy your MODS are very lenient to going off topic:
www.thisishullandeastriding.co.u ... z2QG0AIlwc
I estimate you have lost £4.5 million in 7 years including this season and the loan from Allam.
Well done.

A much more reasoned response. Well done, however you still miss the obvious point in that we don't have the faintest club what the actual running costs of the club are. In those years of under investement and profit, how much did the directors take out of the club? How much of the losses in the last 2 years relate to settlement with HMRC and one off costs of pearson putting right the years of under investment? If you strip these out what is the financial position?
What agreement has pearson made with the SMC on ticket deals? How much are our sponsorship revenues compared to previous years? Is it advantageous for pearson to run Hull at a loss to offset other tax liabilities?
We can speculate all we want on the ifs, buts and maybes but the fact is that there is no RL club in the country that needs to get 14500 people through the gate every week just to break even.
The problem is that like so many other people you believe half truths, rumours and press reports and the regurgitate it as fact and you actually start to belive it yourself

You are missing the point though that HKR have 5 multi billionaire investors waiting in the wings, desparately seeking to gain the upperhand on one another for the honour to take over the biggest brand in RL.

I see where you are coming from
Any negative press reports towards Rovers can be taken as FACT
Whilst any negative press reports towards FC should be disregarded as pure fiction.

We're talking about the word 'scum' as far as I can tell? In which case, agree completely. Please desist, whoever it was.
Also, much as I'm intrigued in some ways by Pearson's plan, and passing reference might be valid, this is a Rovers thread first and foremost.

| A few weeks ago I suggested on the Hull board that the only 'ism' still standing was sexism. Posters are banned for racist, homophobic, xenophobic etc remarks. I suggested sexist remarks were allowed to remain in some instances, with no repercussions for the poster. Of course, the Mods denied it was the case.
Oops. Better watch out. Dudley'll be accusing me of PCness again.

I guess you have never sean a sea going wren.
The typical jokes of the day were:
What is the difference between a seal and a wren?
One is big and fat with whiskers and smells of fish.
And the other one is a seal.
What's the difference between a 12' pizza and a wrens .
You can fit a 12' pizza through a kidney hatch.
You get the idea.

Well my first ship was the HMS Iron duke. Was one of the only big ships in the navy still without wrens. Atmosphere was awesome and we all got along. Out tour of duty in the Adriatic was a joy to be part of. My 2nd draft after promotion was HMS Kent. This had the 18 man mess reserved for females. This time my tour was in the gulf. Massive comparison to the Duke. You had married men carrying on with wrens, divorces left right and centre, sailors fighting over Wrens and wrens carrying on with other wrens. You'd walk anywhere on the ship and lads would be leant against bulkheads chatting away and fraternising with the wrens it wasn't the same close knit crew that I was used to.
