My Mum & Dad left my brother & myself asleep in the chalet while they went to the club house, they had organised a "baby sitter" to stand outside with a walkie talkie to make sure we were ok. Well I woke up & all hell broke loose, I was bloody terrified.
I still remind my Mum about that from time to time, she just cringes. That and how she didn't let me see Take That at LA's under 18's night when I was 14, all my friends went but I wasn't allowed!

Actually we were talking about what we used to do the other day, for example my eldest is 25 as you know and I remember popping to shops near my Mums and leaving her in the pram outside (big silvercross) can you imagine any-one doing that now!

There was a lad on Holderness Rd somewhere in the news the other week, he'd left his baby outside and forgotten about him overnight whilst drunk, can't remember the exact details.

I used to feel depraved because all my best friends only ever went on Butlins holidays, felt like I was missing out until they paid for me to go along with my friends family, Goose muck and cold swimming pools are about all I remember, Much prefer the beach holidays.

I agree. I'm a nightmare ith my 2 when we're abroad, they do not leave my sight. We even split them up when they're asleep, one will be with me & the other with their dad. It might sound OTT but I don't care, no one is taking my boys.

Don't blame you there are some sad cases about, tbh even though my are grown up when we were abroad I never let mine out of my sight, they stayed out late with us etc...I have never left them in a hotel room alone, flippin 'eck mine would never even entertain the kids clubs! I was always funny about them sleeping out as well, only family!
An old neighbor used to let her youngest stay at her friends a few years later the dad of the friend went down for pedophilia fortunately this did not involve the neighbors daughter, but you never really know these people to trust them with your children imo.

It's scary being a parent, I don't suppose it gets any easier ar they get older.

Does having children make you feel grown up and mature I'm childfree and I'm still waiting to feel grown up and responsible. Is it difficult to adjust to them growing up and becoming parents. Just wondered.

We're having a fuddle at work. It's West Yorkshire thing, basically you all bring something in and have a buffet.

Just been in the kitchen and there was loads of crisps and bread and quiche so I thought that must be ours, had a nibble of a few things.

It's not our fuddle, it's another teams. Feel a bit guilty now.

Ate about forty pakoras, feel a bit sick now.

I've been in Hudds all morning, town centre. Now over in BraTford, class of women is about 80% worse off, funnily though (maybe not so strange - here), I also indulged on Indian snacks.

I am, I'm hopeless at eating during the day since I started eating just fruit fro lunch.

They were proper boss though, brought in hot from the local Asian community centre.
