they will never need to expand the KC theres 13,000 empty seats when you play there (apart from once a season) and 10,000 empty seats when city play there

The proposed South Stand development would actually cut our capacity by 50. The south terrace as it stands holds 1550 i think. The new terrace will hold 1500. The benefit though will be that it will be closer to the pitch and (i am guessing) have a roof on.
The main purpose of the development would be the development of our training facilities and the build of a hotel.

Still more ambitious than a 'South Stand Well', but I take your point as far as adding capacity. If they extend the East though, at the same time, then that'd be a help. Wait and see, I guess.

| Who on earth is suggesting a hotel at CP? Is there proof of any kind of demand for this? It's not even on a main road.

God knows. As mental ideas go that's pretty much up there. How many business travellers are there likely to be going to Holderness that wouldn't already just stay in the new Premier Inn for forty quid that's two miles away?

I think it was linked to the Green Port Hull development at Alexandra dock. There are some issues around government energy policy that were reported and Siemans are waiting until January to make a final decision.

There are 100's of contractors based up and down Hedon Road. Will be hundreds more if the developments get the go ahead on the docks. Its a potential gold mine i reckon. You only have to drive past Mick Willows Bed and breakfast during the week to see the demand.

| [urlhttp://www.navitassports.com/search/?m=any&q=hull+kingston+rovers#/news/navitas-supports-hull-kr-with-regional-growth-fund-application[/url
Navitas recently supported Hull Kingston Rovers RFC in the preparation of a submission to Round 2 of the Regional Growth Fund (RGF), a £1.4bn fund operating across England from 2011 to 2014 that supports projects and programmes that lever private sector investment creating economic growth and sustainable employment.
RGF aims particularly to help those areas and communities currently dependent on the public sector to make the transition to sustainable private sector-led growth and prosperity. To meet these aims, Hull KR’s bid was centred around the development of The Craven Park enterprise led regeneration programme for East Hull.
Using the club’s existing Craven Park Stadium as a focal point, the project would include the redevelopment of the South Stand of the stadium, plus the construction of a new 100-room hotel and an indoor multi sport facility to be used by the club and local community.
RGF support has been requested to improve road access to the site, unlocking the private sector investment required to develop the stadium, hotel and multi sport facility, as well as generating additional private sector investment over the medium to long-term to develop the 70-acre site adjacent to the stadium.
If the application is successful, the project would have a number of positive impacts on the local community and the city of Hull, including:
•direct generation of 70 private and public sector jobs in relation to the stadium, hotel and multi sport facility
•indirect creation of 300 jobs associated with construction of these facilities
•addressing the need for quality hotel accommodation and office space in the city
•enabling the Hull KR Sport & Education Trust to build on its existing work within the local community to tackle wider social issues such as health, crime and poverty
•regenerating a priority area in the east of the city.

With no direct link to Hedon Road it's a non-starter. It would mean major redevelopment of the areas roads, which given the proximity of Willerby Caravans, a housing estate and a School isn't going to happen.
I also think Siemens will choose Scotland in the end anyway, but even if they didn't there's plenty of other sites more suitable for another hotel (if it's even needed) without the amount of infrastructure needing to be put in.

The plans for a link to Hedon road has been on the agenda for some time and is a proviso to the south side development, once the developers get the green light there is no reason why it should not be built, the hotel was also mentioned some time ago, in fact it was suggested that it would be built on a similar basis as the one at West ham.
With regards to Siemens, no one knows for sure what the final outcome will be, though the governments recent energy bill satement will give Siemens at Green Port Hull, the confidence to invest its billions in renewables projects including the proposed one in East Hull.

How is a direct road to CP from Hedon road possible?

Not great I agree but there is a way out that way if they wanted it.
