I would definitely want Dixon to stay. I honestly believe under a top coach he will turn out to be a better player than shaw..
I would expect him to run riot in that division which would certainly do his confidence a world of good.
Thats what he is, a confidence player, unfortunately he hasn't had a half decent coach under him since he arrived at the club to get anywhere near his true potential in my opinion.

dixons speed and footwork is top draw I cannot believe that no coach has told him to tackle round the legs an shown him a trick or two on wing play. hope he stays and improves under sheens

Dixon would be a better from watching a few videos and learn what he's supposed to do as a wing/full back/hooker. He suffers from brain farts and forgets everything any coach has told him.
He's got potential in bucket loads, he just needs to walk before trying to be a sprinter. I don'the think it's a top coach he needs, more a psychologist.

Whats the situation with James Greenwood some people linking him with Saints .

Find it hard to believe with Douglas, Amor, Walmsley, Walker all at the club. Plus Richards.

I think relegation and a new coach will give Dixon the opportunity to wipe the slate clean and start all over again, assuming we re-sign him.

Learn to tackle, make the percentage plays when necessary and with his pace and footwork he could go brilliantly for us in the Championship at times. Aside from Wakefield away, he didn't make any real impact for us last year. He certainly needs an extended run in the 1st team to rediscover his mojo.

Achurch thing looking more like a scam. I messaged Hudge on twitter not expecting a reply but he did stating 'news to me'. So unless Hudge is playing the game better than I think, it's probably false. Shame.

Why would he sign for Rovers. Leigh, Wakefield, Salford, Widnes etc are all preferred options. Like an earlier post said, you are looking at cast offs and dregs for next year.

How do you know what his preferred option would be

As long as Dixon's wage demands are reasonable I'd definitely resign him. In the championship his mistakes will not be punished as much and he'll score you a shed load of tries. Unless he's got other options I'm surprised he hasn't resigned already.

For Once I agree with an FC fan.(doesn't happen very often).. Think Dixon was slagged off too much last season. Admittedly he has faults but so did most of the team, who doesn't? One thing he has got is raw pace, and that cannot be taught. We will need every advantage we can get next season, and given the right service he could flourish.. What we need as supporters is something to raise our spirits, we have had precious little of that the last few seasons.
But we have to go for it this time or we could get stuck in this division. Lets hope we get some aggression and pace plus a winning mentality and hope Sheens can bring it to our club, and start making it enjoyable again.

the Hull Daily Mail as confirmed the signing of Addy & Clark from Bradford. These are exactly the kind of signings we need, young enough to develop but with experience of the championship.

Clark is an excellent signing. Good prop. A Mitch upgrade.

Both will give 100%. Addy will be ok provided he's not asked to play in the halves or at hooker. He needs to play in the backrow. Anywhere else and he'll have you tearing your hair out. He can be inconsistent but should do ok if not asked to fill in for others.

Clark is promising but raw. Will take the ball up at 100mph with no thought for his own safety. Never stops. Will put his hand up when others have gone missing. Bit of mongrel but also a bit error prone and can throw in the odd reckless challenge when he's tired. Concedes a few penalties when riled. A few rough edges. Something for Sheens to work with. You'll like him.

It's interesting what you say about Addy. I do think it's worth considering that it is probably easier to find backrowers than halfbacks, though. Also, after the last couple of seasons a 'lightweight' backrow is is not a concept many Rovers fans will be quick to buy into again, I imagine. With Blair, Clarkson and Lawler already signed up, I think I'd rather see Addy as stand-off/utility, instead of taking one of the remaining backrow spots in the squad. Depending on who else signs, whether Lawler focuses more on developing as a hooker etc.

It will be interesting to see how we use Addy. If 2017 is to be used to develop Matty Marsh then Marsh & Addy are not a half back partnership to lead use out of the championship.
I think we will find Addy filling the gap left by Donaldson who seems to be doing is best to find a new club down-under.
We still need an experienced half to dictate the rhythm of the game and complement Marsh's youth and enthusiasm.
