I'm surprised Leigh are making home fans pay for this, I would have thought they'd try to pack this out to give the team a boost for the start of the 8's. We're just off the back of a semi and having to fork out a fortune on tickets, travel etc for the final so a game that's on tv anyway will be the obvious to save a few quid on. Shame cos it should be a great game, we should have too much but just get the feeling we'll slip up. Hope I'm wrong as a win would get us right on the front foot

It is a very expensive period at the moment what with Wembley on the horizon, plus it's on the TV and the holiday season is in full flow at the moment which means many will be either away or putting aside spending money for their hols.
After taking those factors into consideration I would say that anywhere between 300 to 500 would be very good travelling support on the day.
I would imagine also that like ourselves, there will be quite a few that will pay on the day.

500 would be brilliant. Away support in the Championship nowadays is awful. Bradford brought around 2000 for the big season opener which was great. Fax brought about 400, Fev 250. Other than that nobody else has brought more than 50 which is a shame as it makes it hard to get any atmosphere going when there is no away support.

Hope those that make the trip over enjoy themselves, just not too much!

Fully understand the costs your fans will have at this time and few will be able to do everything and will make choices.

Locally we have the start of the soccer season with MUFC and BWFC both at home that day, LMR have a semi final, Haydock park has one of its biggest meetings of the year and the holiday season is in full flight

I'm beginning to think I'd rather take an honourable defeat at Wembley then lose to these upstarts. We really need to beat them up badly.

Personally, I'm not confident about this fixture ......Leigh are obviously a Super League team due to their full time professional status and we have decided to rest a few due to our recent escapades.

I think after this fixture we will be a force to be reckoned with as every player will be giving it everything they have in order to put themselves forward for a Challenge Cup final spot in the team ......This fixture is a week too early for us and given who we are playing, I'm not altogether confident ......But hey, if we can do it without our first choice prop, centre and half back then that only bodes well for us in the rest of the middle 8's and the Challenge Cup final .......If we win with the team we put out then my confidence within the coaching staff will go from strength to strength ......Come on Rovers!!!!

Like it or not Leigh are now in the same league as Rovers, not a 'lower league team'.
Whilst everyone is understandably excited about us having earned the right to play in the CC final, we have also earned our place in the middle 8, as have Leigh. In league terms, we are on a par with them. Massive game to win, not far off a must win in case our performances do suffer due to the distraction of Wembley.

Given Leigh's home form and our away form, I was nervous. Still very poor to be 18 down by half time against anybody. This qualifying 8s looks like it will be gut churning.
