No you are mis-quoting, he's MILES better than Watts the plodder. Walker was out on his feet tonight, having carried our front row alone for a month. We finally get 3 props and Green goes off injured meaning he's carrying it all again. The lad was shagged at the end, but he runs his blood to water. Watts never put that sort of effort into anything in his entire life.

I will say this walker is better than watts because walker wants to be a player watts got caught up in the hype at a young age and doesn't seem to of got out of it, the point of saying walker is better wasn't shown tonight our front row struggled and Adam tried but was out on his feet and we were dominated upfront but given the games we have had with 2 front rowers if we had watts instead of walker we would of not got the same results because watts would of given up the fight

Watts was an early developer. He's a talented kid, but as was so well demonstrated by the likes of Massey and Jewitt tonight, there's a lot to be said for simply hard running, and not making dozy errors.
These are two areas were Walker is generally pretty strong, especially compared to the probably more naturally gifted Watts, but he can't do it by himself.

Prop is the best example of a position where the old chestnut 'there's loads of talent in the Championship', is more than just wishful thinking. We've had some excellent props from the NRL - Micks Vella, Paea and Weyman, most obviously. Hopefully Dane Tilse will be a good 'un. But it is one area where I do sometimes think we have tended to look to the NRL a bit quickly.

Circumstance has meant we've asked a lot of Walker particularly, and until today the pack have mostly held their own, hopefully he'll get a bit more support across the rest of the season.

Walker was out on his feet after 70 mins and clearly carrying his left arm. When a player is giving the minutes he is, there comes a time when he and the other forwards reach their limit.
Our forwards despite giving their all came up short today because of their work rate. cas were clever and beat us up the middle from the word go, ollet just wasn't physically strong enough to cope with the constant barrage and losing Green was massive. Our backs cant be expected to be creative when they are running backwards, and I feel that a 25-4 defeat was acceptable if unwanted. If not for our much improved defence it could easily have been a rout.

Walker has been a senior prop for us for two years when this should really be his first season as a ten or eight, and this year, due to circumstance he's played far too many minutes.

The fact that he keeps putting his hand up is admirable. He's still very young, if we can (and should if we have any brains about us) keep him fit and more importantly, not burn him out will stand both him and us in gold stead.

I said and stand by the fact that Kelly certainly, and probably Sio are too good, and will probably leave as they will be coveted elsewhere. It is not a dig, they are good players.
