You know Rovers are going to win with the whole Mason saga. I believe that Mason will get his passport and Dobson will still be there's. The RFL will want to see Willie Mason in super league because it will obviously add a bit more spice and increase attendance and possibly participation. They will see it as a good move for English super league. IMO rules are rules and Dobson is no longer there player for this season. As for HULL KINGSTON AUSSIES, WHAT A DISGRACE!

Rovers' speak to the RFL about getting Mason over on one of his myriad passports (he's got more than James Ruddy Bond), RFL say okay, Mason arrives. Other parties with interest (SL chair people/who ever) find out, contact the RFL. Rovers' forced into this course of action as a face saving exercise for all concererned.
Mason becomes Tongan, Dobson re instated, episode concluded.

He broke his arm in Round 2, they de-registered him, ironically they signed a certain Dobson lol, and then in Round 15 Jones played again and Dobson returned to Canberra.

Players can come off the quota whenever (in the way Mason will anyways), so as soon as Mason's clearance comes through (next few days) Mason will then come off quota, and Dobson can go back on.

I for one cannot wait for the day we have a side full of locally trained lads, but even after 4 seasons, we are playing catch up in this area. If we had not brought in these players we would more likley to have been in the bottom 2 each season and in danger of not getting a licence.

That was 5 years ago. Not sure if the rules were even the same back then, but they're pretty clear now. And it was a temporary replacement not a permanent addition.

TBH Kosh I think we are splitting hairs here.
Permission hasn't been granted but they have been told that it will be.
The spokeswoman failed to mention that part.
Rather a large ommision if you ask me.
