| Quote ="phil webbo"Quite clear that you have never seen an MP's expense form then.
Correct
Interesting use of public purse, I suppose every last penny the Government spend is public purse even if it's raised from mobile phone licences, but yes I can confirm it and that I am answering the same questions again.
It is based on outcomes not KPI's as you well know.
It was based on the number of business pods within the building and the number of new jobs created.
The catering alone covers the jobs and the target period of risk is just two years, and considering we applied for the ERDF I think that is quite self explanatory, ie- if you applied for a business loan would you expect your neighbour to repay it if you defaulted?
I think this has now been done to death, and is quite unfair on people who would rather talk RL rather than BS.'"
So in the Doomsday scenario that Rovers default and targets aren't met, Hull City Council and its taxpayers foot the bill not already footed by the Treasury, thanks for clearing that up, done. I can only imagine your dismay when Hudgell was talking recently of not going round again before the thing's even built, though. Yikes.
Quote ="phil webbo"I think this has now been done to death, and is quite unfair on people who would rather talk RL rather than BS.'"
Was going well, this, for a couple of minutes but then:
Quote ="phil webbo"It's a strange she never asks any questions of the public money spent on settling FC's debts with the overly generous purchase of the place that will forever live in the memory of a 1/3 of their fans.'"
If you're going to condone dredging up old ground sales as a stick to beat FC with, please refer back to December 1999 and the purchase of New Craven Park by the council when Rovers were in administration which enabled Rovers to continue to trade. They then arranged a long term lease via Gaingroup (now KCD) conditional on Rovers sub-tenancy IIRC. Now, what to have for tea? Steak, peppercorn sauce, I think.
Right, folks, crack on with the photos. Phillip and I can continue jousting via PM. I'm only putting that to make gingerspice jealous, mind.

well done!
You've finally managed to comprehend what I said earlier,
I said " So in answer to your question Hull City Council are exposed to 1/3 of the risk"
It's only took you since 9.16pm on Saturday.
To be fair on you, you have admitted to being a bit slow.

I am very slow, but that's not quite what I said, so help me out on point 2 below. If Rovers default and ERDF targets aren't delivered, isn't that 2/3? Let me put it more clearly:
Rovers Stand - 1/3 - risk to Council if Rovers default
ERDF - 1/3 - risk to Council if conditions of grant not met
Hull Training - paid for by the public purse already
It's all hypothetical, of course. Review/due diligence of tenants current and projeted future cash flows will have been both independent and comprehensive.

He's not responded yet the point on the repurchase of New Craven Park, but we'll let it go, he's a busy guy. Only so many hours in the day to defend Rovers, criticise Hull fans and dredge up stuff about Hull FC that obviously still rankles.

Re- New Craven Park, lets not turn this into a peeing contest Hull City have had their share of public purse also,
I was only pointing out that Rovers are not unique on that front, so the defensive statement on the re-purchase made me chuckle.
Re the criticizm, Hull are not unique, I criticize lots of fans, even Rovers fans, you need take an inward look and ask yourself "do we deserve it" if the answer is no, then all's well and stop feeling like a victim.

Fortunately, because I evaluated his future delivery potential through independent evidence, I've never had to consider it. Some people enter into marriage too lightly, I think, influenced by a strong existing friendship, the other person just telling them it's a great idea, or a response to both parties' seething resentment against a third party. That's not a robust basis for long term risk assessment IMO.

As you haven't mentioned it in your response are we to conclude that you concur with Mrs B's calculation of 2/3 risk to the council, rather than 1/3?:

well done!
However, as a Council Tax payer in Hull [iand[/i a taxpayer to the government to boot, I don't agree that the scheme is very "well done" from my personal point of view at all. Now, don't get angry, I'd hate to see you in a Rage.

| Went past today, looking good.
The blue/purple colour, is that the finished product? Looks alright, makes it less imposing on the skyline, I thought the whole thing was white on the original drawings? Besides the red towers, that is. Speaking of which, the two structures that are visible, are these the framework for the towers or just scaffolding to build them?
