The problem with that is we have no idea what he is after and we do actually have a salary cap to stick too.
I can just see the conversation now 'I want £250,000 that ok?' 'Sure we'll give you just over 1/7 of our total salary cap Shannon no problem'.

Like I said no one knows what he wants or what he has been offered elsewhere.
So saying just renegotiate and get him signed up may cost us a hell of a lot more than we can budget for.

I hope you are right and that we are not that far away and a deal could be struck but on the other hand he could be asking for far more of our cap than we can realistically give to one player.

I said the same to the guys last night, Shannon gets better with every game and it would be a real shame if both parties didn't come together to try and sort out a deal that's acceptable to both.
I realy do believe that Sandercock has the makings of a good side at his disposal that will only get better if the majority of the current crop of players are kept together plus one or two quality additions.
Also, as iv'e previously commented, Good fullbacks are in very short supply at the moment.

From what iv'e heard,the Watts situation has been on the cards for quite a few weeks, with regards to the mass clear out or 11 out and 8 in as you have stated, all i can say is what i hear from sources that are as reliable as any, that is, although there will be changes they wont be quite as dramatic as you seem to think.
However,like iv'e said in my previous post, i prefer to deal in facts ,not rumours so i will wait and see what comes about nearer the day, there is also some wheeling and dealing still to be done during the next few weeks which will of course determing the outcome of some of the above, Thanks.

Whilst it could be disappointing to be dismantling the squad when you're playing so well, as long as you're trading up with the likes of Lopini Paea it's progress.

We've had similar good runs of form probably every year after our first season in SL, in itself it doesn't mean this squad is capable of progressing to the next level.

If we're still playing like this at the end of the season and the team is dismantled it would be disappointing, but most likely we will not be.
