I wouldn’t disagree, I think it is an argument which frequently gets conflated, though undoubtedly linked they are two separate issues. Wire’s youth development hasn’t been good enough, but they aren’t relying on overseas players to fill that gap.

Wire need to bring more players in to the first team who have come through their academy but whilst they are waiting to bring those through they are looking to british for the majority of their squad which is what HKR should be doing.

As for overseas numbers as long as we are actively improving our youth development and giving the younger players contracts and not letting them go elsewhere I think we will see a future rovers squads with less and less "foreigners"
