Ey up Budgie.. You've got a good lad signed there. Real 100% er. Hooker may be his only route to real success but in championship he will do a job 2nd row. His performance in the last Derby was very good and will tackle a double decker head on. Shame we let him go permanently and not on loan but that's the nature of the game

Agree 100% I am sure in an ideal world he would have served his time in a reserve team & who knows how good he will get, but good luck to him & hope he is a success for Leigh.

Joe Cator was well thought of at Rovers but he asked to leave in order to get more first team action.

With the club needing to lose one or two to make room for Drinkwater it suited both parties. Would the club have preferred others to leave? Possibly but for a contracted player to leave someone has to want them and Leigh wanted Cator.

Would be nice to get confirmation either way on Drinkwater but the club nowadays keep things close to their chests.Much more professional than certain Chairmen who make bold statements then look foolish when delivering 3rd rate signings. Very little quality behind starting 17...

Nah he's gone back to Aus with as a player Coach role at Byron Bay. It was a gamble that didn't pay off for us, he never really got going. Don't blame Sheens for trying though.

More or less confirmed now with Sheens saying we finished recruitment yesterday and the players agent saying he has now been signed. No doubt he will join up with the squad first day back with several weeks to settle in. Seems that we have increased our terms so hopefully he should prove worth it.

Very good signing. Few very good players won't make the 17 when all fit. Nice mix of youth and experience and generally beefed up the pack.. Could be a decent season ahead

We need another half, but until I see any signing confirmed I will not believe it. The club does play it,s cards close to it,s chest, but I have heard and seen too many rumours that fell flat. Lets wait and see, but time is running out. Here,s hoping.

I think it is reasonable to think that the signing of Drinkwater, following on from Garbutt, Linnett, Lannon, Keinhorst & Hauraki ...Rovers have done good business this off season.
