The difference being that Hull & Cas both have decent players in their squads too.

The thing is, as well, that people get so excited about the next big thing, coming through from the academy.

Most of them won't have half the career that Lee or Washbrook have had - but y'know if they work hard and avoid serious injury, then they too might be in a position to attract poop on social media in their late 20s or early 30s.

With Cas I think they have a good coach who seems to get the best out of ok players they won the league by 10pts but as a Hull fan how many of those players would you have in your first 17

A lot of the Cas squad weren't necessarily perceived as being all that good when they signed there though. It's about finding the best value in the market you can, and creating the best culture you can.

It wont be Cooper Cronk but I would expect a forward with size and experience and maybe a back with bulk. Most 'big name' overseas signings have disappointed it tends to be the unknown ones who really work.

He wasn’t unknown it was the fact that no one would entertain him in Australia he was bad news, Rovers gave him a chance and he had one good season he then messed Rovers about and left without even saying good bye.

I was very happy with Hull Signing Danny and wakey fans were disappointed in him leaving.
Tommy might be a reasonable squad player but nowhere near as good as a player as Washy.
Washy was in our 17 man squad almost all season and covered many positions.

Been on hollibobs. .Bit underwhelmed by world cup so far and these last 2 signings.Hoping for better news in coming month? T Lee I would hazard will be decent value for money factoring experience and the cover he provides? Walne I'm thinking must have impressed Sheens at Salford? Bread n butter signings, We need Vella/Newton/Weyman level quality in the next 2 or 3 signings. I like the team spirit I like the depth in squad but we need a sprinkling of real class to go a long with Mcguire Lunt Masoe. Heffernan Minns I think will go well and Carney will do his share but the rest are good lads with decent blend of youngsters and good professionals. Still Grateful to be back in SL so will trust in the coach.
