I like this Salford team, not littered with superstars but a real workmanlike approach to the game. Clearly coached well with an idea of how to win games.

Cracking performance tonight from the lads full of intensity. Support play rubbish though. Discipline let us down badly in the second half, when they got on a roll. Loved the ankle tap by Scruton on Lannon.

We didn't let ourselves down and if we learn from it, it bodes well for the Middle 8s. Lunt my MOM.

It also didn't help that we went away from what worked in the 1st half. However, the amount of pressure put on our defence by Salford and to only lose by 10 is testament to how well Tim Sheens has got this side working.

Rovers played very well! Injuries in the second period were probably our downfall but for me, we've proven there that even with a depleted side, we can stand up to a "good" super league side!

We've stood up to to big packs in Leigh and Salford so to me puts to bed the myth about our small pack I felt the try before HT was the killer but really pleased with that performance

I thought you gave it a decent shot for forty minutes and we didn't turn up, but the pace and power our pack played with in the second caused you too many problems. Mistakes crept in and along with the awful conditions didn't help you much. I think what you can take out of the game though is the ramp-up in intensity that your guys are not used to every week this season. it will stand you in good stead when you get into the real battles in the second half of the season. This may look like a similar Salford to you on paper from last year but it really is a different Salford this season in attitude, ability, and fitness.

what a dick lannon is. not good enough to do that stuff still thought we could win it when back to 13 players then the ginger boy got lucky with his patback , hicks didn't do us any favours, but just faded slightly 2nd half,. looks promising for the middle 8s though.
