We had Crabtree out too but this game is the closest either side has had,at the same time, to a full strength side in any of the four games against each other this season.

We got into them early for once and then defended well but which Huddersfield team turns up on Saturday who knows ??

That was pretty much our (Leeds) last 17 guys there on Sunday. Hall had a knock so wasn't risked and young Ash Handley has been a good deputy. Mullally had concussion so couldn't play, McGuire and Delaney haven't played for weeks with injuries and Garbutt & Achurch have missed the last two through injury. Add to it our u19's were playing Wigan u19's at the same time in a playoff semi final and we didn't want to weaken their team some guys played who we probably would've like to rest. Keith Galloway for one, his partner had only just given birth the day or so before and wasn't going to play but put his hand up when Mullally didn't make his concussion test and we've been trying to nurse Joel Moon through the end of the season with a groin injury.

So after the 17 who played, they were either injured, on loan at Fev, or in the u19's (which you'd consider a weaker selection of we picked them anyway)

It's not like the teams were completely different in terms of personnel!!! Only two players different.

It wasn't our best 17, but it wasn't a weak 17.

Think the big difference was in the props. Only 3 recognised props with Garbutt and Mullally out and with Galloway on the bench not having an ideal match prep with the aforementioned birth of a new child left us starting JJB at prop, who had a good game but obviously a bit undersized for a prop.

As a giants fan I appreciate your prop situation. We had two back rowers playing prop - Taai and Ikahihifo and a centre playing in the second row. Only 2 recognised props in Huby and Rapira.

I'm comparing the fact that Leeds fans are stating it was their "last 17" which it clearly wasn't yet nothing was said about a weakens squad when they beat KR with two players difference- and you could argue having ward in the squad is an improvement!

It's not our fault McDermott likes to mess about with his bench and swap players around- we can only play the team that we are up against.

They were nowt special on Sunday especially 2nd half. Should be a decent match up. Think home advantage might just swing it.

Well the powers that be at KR have said no to the Giants band. Set of Miserable winkers. Must be scared it'll drown out the incessant booing usually heard coming from the east stand. Only ground to turn hudds down when asked in advance.

The band make for more energised and noisy Giants fans - of course they will be knocked back. I would hope the giants would do the same if the boot were on the other foot.

Would expect HKR to take every action that gives them the edge. This is a mean big game, not a summer fair. Game on.

Going to find this hard, however, completely agree. Bradford started with a band and ended up with a guy dressed as a gorilla, doing juggling tricks whilst riding round Odsal on a quad bike to the sound of wooly bully. Stupid gimmickry that should not be needed if the crowd are vocal and passionate.
