| Quote ="SirStan"I have kept out of the Tilse debate for now, as I felt he needed time to settle. He's not the worst signing the club has made, he's not even the worst prop we have signed in SL. Lets remind ourselves of some vintage names:
Jim Gannon
David Mills
Garrett Crossman
Ervan Tuimuvave
Danny Ward
Ryan O'Hara
All the above signed since 2007, all gash and pinched a living whilst at Craven Park. (maybe not Ervan but a tree-puller he certainly was not). Tilse is better than all of them.
However, is he good enough to use our last overseas spot on? I suspect not.'"
Add Ryan Bailey as well as Nick Fozzard to the list.
Tilse has played well in patches. Outstanding in our CC victories against Wigan and Warrington. His problem is that he hasn't reproduced his NRL form to date nor has he delivered the contribution of Mick Weyman, whose quota spot he was signed to fill.
If he does return next year, I expect he will step it up for us after a complete preseason.

| Fozzard isn't on the list because when he played he made a difference and we missed him when he wasn't on the pitch.
One ugly mother though.

Joel Clinton has to be the worse signing in comparison to the money he was on and a special mention for our 1986 signing Lindsey Johnson

| Can't even remember him, best Rovers player with a girls name...
Tracey Lazenbey (apologies for more than likely spelling his name incorrectly) bonkers.

There was a story (probably not true) that we signed Lindsey Johnson by mistake and in fact it was Peter Johnstone who we wanted and did sign in the end Lindsey spent nearly all season in the A team

| I like that tale, it's true from now.
I can tell, we share a common love of Rovers rubbishness, we had to, to survive the nineties.
The only reason for going was for the gallows humour.

| I don't think he's as bad as everyone is making out. Walker has been equally as bad since his 'issues'. As Sandro says tho he's not good enough for a quota spot.

High profile bookie Joel Caine tells the story of coming to Sydney for a trial with another kid named Danny Buderus. Caine was signed on the spot and couldn't work out why he kept getting named at hooker in games. Eventually the coach took him aside and showed him footage of his trial to ask him why he wasn't doing the same things, and the coach had got the numbers wrong and thought he was Buderus.

| I'm in the anti Tilse clan, he's a plodder thats all, even in his outstanding CC cup games he was only really average IMHO, his big offload game hasn't appeared and he doesn't get into full stride before he's tackled.
A poor rash decision signing IMO

| Think a few are being a bit harsh on tilse, good tackler,no frills and in his days with canberra had a decent offload, but I do agree for a quota spot I would hope we had signed somebody who offered a bit more impact than tilse, who is basically a steady eddie.

I'd look to get greenwood signed if possible.

| Re Tilse, for me he is absolutely bang average. He's far, far from the worst we've had in SL, but when you consider he was a replacement for Weyman it's so far been a poor comparison.
Maybe with a pre season and being more settled over here he'll come good. You don't play as many NRL games as he has done if you're a bad player

I feel Walker started well, but made little to impact in his second spell. Greenwood seems to be getting better with each game he plays. I'd be happy if we were able to get him for next year

| The expected post cup final shocking performance , but a wins a win.
If we up our energy levels , maybe freshen up the team a little , we should have too much for Bradford and guarantee our place in SL next season.

| Greenwood had his best game for us today. Green also played well, have to agree about walker though, he seems to slow and spin into tackles to look for the offload then gets creamed.
It was a bitty grind of a game today, with our blushes saved by their kicker having an off day. To be fair to wakie their forwards were dominant for large periods, and Locke is a class act.

| To be honest we've played poorly throughout the qualifiers but won them all with no half backs so we must be doing something right maybe not good to watch but the results are all that matters

| Thought all the bench players added energy & momentum today. Good job too. Another bullet dodged.
Standard of Middle 8s has been poor imo. SL teams seem to have dropped intensity more than Championship sides have stepped up.
