Sorry JTP. I am sure I wasn't alone in the RL world at the time in thinking that Westerman's form and contribution did not merit his shot in the England 13 jersey in the same way that Josh Hodgson was lucky to get a shot at hooker. It's also not fair to use their subsequent playing form this season to reinforce that view.
Ooooooooh, I'm about to get all serious now!
My point made seemingly several posts ago now is that just because players have dips in form, which in Larroyer's case is caused by being asked to perform in the middle out of position as I stated and which Goose reinforced so perfectly, doesn't warrant them not being offered contract extensions.
In defence of Lee Radford, the coach you and everyone else on the dark side wanted sacked earlier in the campaign, he does see potential in his players, sticks by them through dips in form and eventually finds their optimum playing position. Rankin has found his niche at FB, Jack Logan at left centre will mean you can finally get rid of Yeaman, Talanoa is a better right centre than right winger and is better than Sa. Sa is cack. Whiting is a good second rower with half decent footwork. Abdull is the future at the expense of Pryce.
