Young Marsh has been included in the 1st team squad. He should be our cover instead of relying on someone with a "utility" tag. No point in having a youth set up if you don't give them a crack when required. A bit of short-term pain and all that.

I think you have to give them a crack when they're ready as much as when they're required. If he progresses rapidly then great. But if you're anticipating pain then that suggests to me that you're not that confident. I'm not convinced by the SmokeyTA-esque argument that the quickest path to success is sending lambs to the slaughter so they become lions. You just get covered in blood and wool that way. Rovers colours at least.

It's an excellent signing IMO we now have a good mix in the forwards with experience, players with something to prove and youthful exuberance.

As a Parra fan I'm not too fussed at Mitch leaving. Although he's a hard worker, he lacks that bit of quality hence being released from his contract early. He would have struggled to make the first team at Parra in 2015 with the crop of good young forwards coming through. Mitch will do okay for you, but i still think that Ken Sio is the real coup for you guys.
