I reckon that the 9400 figure will include the South Stand promotion. Otherwise it would mean that we are at 10900 already and only about 600 short of capacity. Given that there are still tickets available in all areas of the ground I find this unlikely.
The club are also having a big final push marketing the game. If they only had 600 tickets to shift they wouldn't bother because they would sell themselves over the next 6 days and final walk ups.
A sell out is still a possibility though because it looks like the Leeds fans are buying tickets in big numbers and I reckon there will be a late push at the back end of the week when the anticipation grows.

Ok, look at that the other way. If the 9400 includes the 1500 (1600?) givaway, then we have only "sold" 7900. That would include more than 1000 Leeds fans, leaving only approx 6700-6900 sales to Rovers fans. Subtracting passholders would leave about 1000 actual ticket sales. I don't buy that for 1 minute, so I think my presumption is better than yours.

I hope it is you that is right. Would love to see the sold out signs go up. 10900 gone already by your reckoning so should be a formality.

I hope so. Face it, with less passholders last season we only fell below 7k once all year. I don't expect all the south stand freebies to actually turn up though, so that could hit the attendance on the day.

Especially when they have stated that pass sales are up. We should also get plenty of walk up fans on the day if the weather is favorable.

I think the "walk up" will be quite low. Most of the pay-on-the-day customers would have snapped up the passholder tickets for a tenner offer if they possess a friend who has a pass.

So we have actually sold 8,500 then including 5,000 passes.
Takeoff the Leeds sales of 1,500 at its only 2,000 extra.

it is isn't it and with quite a few cheap £10 tickets it's not great. I still think the club are doing all they can to promote it and should be applauded for all the work they are doing for it.

Me and a fellow black and white are coming, first visit to CP since 2009 (stopped coming due to the poor view in away stand).

Quite looking forward to it. sat in the new stand, should be a decent game and hopefully a Leeds win

I think bit of a waste potentially leaving seats empty and hoping people buy a season ticket. Very risky.
