Why is it odd for us to sign a player who is 30 in November on a one year deal with the option of a second year. Is it not more odd to sign a player who's 32 before the next SL season starts on a two year deal?

Cast your mind back to 2008. FC got to the Cup Final and finished 11th out of 12 . The following season 12th out of 14. If there had been relegation those years you'd have been pretty close. And this was with a better squad then you have now and an experienced coach,something which Radford is not.

Not a bad amateur player was wasn't Hudge, fullback i believe, plus he became a chairman of the club, not the coach.
As chairman of a club, a good degree of business knowledge is required rather than knowledge of coaching a team, i think its fair to say that Neil Hudgell is well qualified with the former and has done very well so far imo.
