Quote ="Offside Monkey"Because of the rumours of us signing him, I looked out for him in the game against Wigan. He looked good - carried the ball well and got into them in defence. Both Clarke and Carney commented on the impact he and young Tyler Hepi had.
Bear in mind that I don't think Saints have signed him thinking they've got a world beater. Our props of late have been disappointing - the Perry, and to a lesser degree Laffranchi signings has been very unsuccessful for one reason or another and LMS had a real downturn of form in the first half of the season. Past that we had a good prospect in Walmsley, who can't manage many minutes, a steady eddie in Clough, a Puletua who can't manage it every week and a bag of very green youngsters.
With potentially 3 props leaving at the end of the season, I think they'r just looking for squad depth. We've got Masoe and Walmsley for the spectacular and LMS and Clough for the graft, we just need a bit of back up.'"
That was oarguably his best game for Hull KR and he was still outshone by other forwards. At 25 Beaumont isn't a youngster any more and I think your going to be disappointed next year. Hopefully he'll kick on and prove the doubters like me wrong but I just don't think he's anymore then average. If Ryan O'Hara hadn't missed every game this season then I suspect Beaumont would have played even fewer games then he has.
