He will be back up or perhaps some fans will get their wish and see Burns at 13 with Nicklas playing 6. One scenario that wont be happening is Dobbo leaving and Nicklas playing 7.

it looks like Hudges one up man ship as got the better of him again the trouble is where taking ur best players your taking the kids who are not cutting the mustard at FC, but saying that im pleased to see a local lad been given the chance to play SL in the future hope he goes well for you its difficult for kids with the current lack of reserve grade footy at a descent standard

the difference being (at the minute) yours will be first choice hb, nicklas will be back up.

I am assuming he is coming to play at 7, seeing as Mick Potter was touting him as Wests first choice 7. If this is so, you need to compare him to Dobbo, not Nicklas as he is likely to be a back up 6 at best.

MacDonnell, Galea your captain last year ,Liam watts who's better than anything you have got at prop this year apart from pea who has a contract offer from FC for next year and Catalan on the table, when sandycock goes and Paterson becomes a free who knows where he will go ? could that be Fc if we lose ticks ?

Galea been a bag of shat, glad he got injured tbh and I don't mind saying so, we have kicked on since he has been out of the side.

On the same issue, Mcdonnell been very good though

thought Galea did well considering he was in a new team with different plays and new players around him was over played due to other injuries and probably adds a lot off the field with the younger players and 1st team but that my opinion

Back on topic, can't see Dobson going anywhere. Looks like Salford would be his only option and I can't see any way he would take it. leeds need a SH but wouldn't pay the fee. No one else with cash needs a SH

Saints have made an enquiry about his availability not sure about any talk of fees but this is from someone close to a board member, don't bet on Dobbo been at KR next season wish it was FC he was coming too but Hudge would never sell him to us (carnt say I blame him there)

Mask it how you like any top players you get who are not tied down on long term deals very quickly will be poached by other SL teams and with your current making up the numbers approach they will probably leave to bigger clubs i.e. Taylor, MacDonnell, Watts 1st of many in seasons to come

we sold Taylor McDonnell was never staying and Watts is trouble which is why Cas got rid and in the end we did to and no doubt you will in time

More made up stuff, I think you will find I made several posts after the derby defeat, most on the FC board, which isn't surprising after that performance, I don't hide like you I take the rough with the smooth. Despite getting owned we have improved, are above Rovers and expect us to stay there for the rest of the season, but you enjoy your cup final eh. Back on topic, I am really surprised that CS has made this signing, I haven't seen anything in his game to suggest he is a SL player (unlike Hodgson and Hall, who always showed glimpses at Hull). He will be cheap with a point to prove though so you never know, maybe a slight know to one of your halfbacks, I few people have mentioned that Burns doesn't look 100%? Personally I would have rather given game time to one of your young halfbacks.

My comment was TIC however McDonnell has surprised me this year with how good he's been. He's injury prone though

I think Burns is carrying a shoulder / arm injury, he's not looked right since the FC game and has gone down clutching it a couple of times.

Not sure on this signing but if it gives us depth then it wont be a bad thing, as a replacement for Dobbo I'd be very worried

Why the asumption (from some) that Dobson will be leaving? Good players attract interest/enquiries from others, particularly half backs. There has never been anything from club or player to even hint at a parting. Contracted until Nov 2014, Rovers have time on their side. He's the least of my worries.

Can't say I'm overly concerned about Dobbo's future, there will come a point when he will leave and then we will need to recruit a good replacement. I can't see us selling off the crown jewels that easily and the Nicklas signing looks like a precaution to me. I wonder if maybe CS sees craig Hall as our future starting No1, this would then leave us light in half back cover

Be interesting to see who CS picks @ full back on Sunday. FWIW, I'm surprised he choose last week to drop Eden. For me, I think he's shown his best/consistent form recently.
