I think Rovers will win. Sandercock's had time to rebuild his (up to today) inadequate motivational strategies, and we've heard nothing all week apart from they huge fullback upgrade you've made, how the jet-heeled Caro is the next big thing and how Paterson is that aggressive and vigorous in the tackle he could actually be Bruce Banner "on the turn", so to speak. FC's players are so old they'll be wheeled off after 23 minutes to be replaced by second string youngsters (Rovers have the pick of young local talent, we were told), whilst they enjoy tea in china cups and toasted teacakes, peering at the performance of pension investment funds through half-moon reading glasses. I like an investment fund.

I actually had a couple of jumpsuits that I wore as a fashion statement in the 80s. The statement read: "Your arrse looke enormous, and they're really impractical for toileting purposes". Avoiding injuries, obviously, is the main aim. Our round 1 is away at the current champions where we never ever win unless Jason Smith or Nathan Blacklock plays, so confidence will be shattered then anyway. Not like we're at home in Easty's "fortress" against a team that's lost their fabuloso coach, you have the advantage to build that confidence in linear fashion therefore.

Hard yards, isn't it, cockle? In Morgan's era there was such confidence and joie de vivre on derby day, well-founded too, that it was fun. Rovers current board all in attendance today? Maybe a special guest or two?
