Can't be bothered to do a full list but I'm surprised nobody has included Mark O'Neill. I was born in '86, he is one of the best players I've ever seen for Rovers.

Mark was a cracking player I'd agree. However, his entire Rovers career spanned 17 games, he never had time to go through his bad patch!

I've always wondered rover49 was Beetson that great for Rovers, obviously he's a giant of the game but he was only here for one season?

I'm not a rovers fan, but respected many of their players. Can't believe anyone hasn't chosen Lockwood.

He was one of the top 10 players I ever saw in a Rovers shirt, irrespective of how great he was for us. His signing and presence was massive.

There have been so many, It's difficult to pick a list of 10, I suppose leaving out Lockwood, G Smith, Watky, Sully, Fairbairn and others is a hard choice, but we have been fortunate in who we have had over the years. If I was 10 years younger and missed the 60's I suppose the likes of Galea, Newton and Vella might have got in. I think the last three mentioned were probably the most important signings we have made in a long time because in the late 70's and 80's we were 'expected' to sign top quality, whereas in our SL infancy, Galea, Newton and Vella were players we probably didn't have the 'right' to sign.

As far as importance is concerned, I also rate Mark O'Neill as a shrewd bit of business as well.

Can't believe it took 4 pages before somebody named Millward and Lowe in the same 10,surely the 2 finest players to represent your club

broke his leg in the christmas day game i think so i dont think he played a season but my dad always said he was a great player

i would have put lowe in but all the goings on in the nineties put me off him

Remember Stotts amazing try saving tackle at home in the league vs Salford? That was fantastic! Decent player for us

And Broke his leg in that season so played around 10 games didn't he?

Best moment for Paul Parker for me was that length of the field try at Spotland.

I went on people I'd seen play at least a season or two for us, I'm unfortunately not old enough to have seen either play.

Didn't know that, and as he only played ten games for us as easty says then he must have been a hell of a player to make such an impact.

As I've said, I'm too young to have seen him so I'm happy to go with those who did.

Must have been fantastic at the time to sign a player of his stature.
