| Quote ="Mrs Barista"That's not answering the question. What do "height advantage" and "weight advantage" mean, as they are commonly used boxing terms, are they not? Mason is currently training with a boxing coach it says in the Aussie press today. Maybe it's on.
'"
hes training with a boxing coach yes, doesnt say hes boxing though, boxing is a very fit sport MrsB as you probably know, im sure the Hull players will do some boxing training at some stage, they probably go swimming to, but i cant see Rebecca Adlington panicking just yet,
all you are trying to do is play down Lee Radfords chances, so if he gets beat you can claim he wasnt meant to win as hes so much smaller/lighter, but yet if he wins then its an embarassment for Mason whose so much bigger,
sorry MrsB but your atempts at mind games are getting worse.

| This is great. Aussie hardman, as he is repeatedly referred to in the press, or "bully boy" as Gekko likes to call him as in my sig, who's much bigger, younger and doing boxing training right now, would be the underdog against poor old Radford who you lot think is so poor you were chanting to Morgan not to sign him at your last home game. You're scared Radford the donkey might beat your most impressive ever signing who considered a pro boxing career, and quite rightly so, it [uwould[/u be a humiliation for him. Radders on the other hand is just trying to raise money for a mate (we all saw how emotional he was the the Fielden fight), even if he is a loon for suggesting the best way to do it is to get battered. The fact that Radford's probably not back until Easter following shoulder surgery won't help his cause either.

if the wind changes direction your face will stay like that......
just because you keep saying it doesnt make it true MrsB
im pretty sure Lee Radford will seriously fancy his chances against Big (Bigger) Willie, hes not going to go into this knowing he will take a beating is he? charity or not. and im not scared that anyone will get beat, as i posted on the Hull pages it should be a cracker, ill sit on the fence on this one.
as for Radford the player, i didnt want to sign him your right, as for chanting to not sign him, your wrong, I never.

What are you on about? It's for one of his proposed testimonial events. If it does come off can see it been an instant sell out.

Where does it say that that in the Sun report? Still, Radford's testimonial, a worthy charity event, I'm sure you'll agree, given Rovers fans high opinion of him.

Given Radfords 11th hour change of heart to signing for Rovers in your opinion would it be totally unreasonable for Rovers to tell him to stick his fight where the sun dont shine.

Are rovers the type of club that would refuse to contribute towards raising money for a great cause? Think even childish Hudgell and co would be a bit bigger than that.

| Quote ="Mrs Barista"So it's generally accepted that being taller and heavier gives you an advantage in boxing, and as the exception that proves the rule, Audley is gash. Mason is younger too, and has great footwork. Poor Radders. What the hell is he thinking?
'"
You should know better than most that bigger does not always mean better.
Let me explain, and seeing as you know so much about boxing, i will use boxing terms to put my point across....
It's also generally accepted that bigger clubs will have the advantage over smaller clubs.
Since Rovers "earned" their place (joining the Heavyweights) in S/L, the perceived big club in Hull have entered the ring with the newcomers across the city 14 times, this includes the "ALL OR NOTHING" friendly to save argument.
.........Hull FC.............Hull KR
Won..........6.....................8
Points for.249..................286
So we are not just winning on rounds but on points as well.
Also lets not forget, Hull FC had us on the ropes for three rounds last season, but Rovers delivered the " Knock out" Punch in the 4th.
So as the exception that proves the rule, Hull FC are gash!
Edited!

| I've heard that he is trying to get a few fights organised with the Radford v Mason topping the bill.
Others who may well have been approached are Bailley and Crabtree.
It would certainly be a interesting event.

I think Rovers, through the fans, already contribute towards your club's chosen charity every year don't we....through the increased derby admissions.

Indeed. People trying to make out Mason's not the red hot favourite, completely undone by the simple definition of height, weight and age advantage and forced to derail to borderline 10-5 style lines of "argument". And moderators participating in this extent of thread drift. Naughty Naughty.
On topic, interesting to see there might be a number of fights on the bill. Who would Clint Newton select from FC's ranks? Assuming he wouldn't be sulking at Mason getting top billing and therefore leaving the changing rooms last.

Completely disagree Mrs B, on your own board ( thats the one above BTW ) Radford has it in the bag with 99 percent of your fans who reckon he's by far the hardest player in super league.
I believe your clubs own media whore challenged Clint to a fight a few months ago and posted on this very board.....not heard much about it though since.

Childish enough to offer his club in support of Horney's testimonial:

And our fans turned out in force to show their respects to Horne, wonder what will happen if we have a derby testimonial for a Rovers player, will the 'I won't go to CP' and 'I won't my hard earned cash to a Rovers player' lot rear their ugly heads.

out of interest who is the next rovers player to have a testimonial, and I most likely would go as I have many times since John Moores at the old CP. My only proviso being that I pay the same as the KR fans and not be expected to stand in Rotterdam.
As for the fight I really cant see it happening - but would have been interesting think we might have to make do with Hutchie v Easty or Mrs B againf Zod
