Rovers are bringing in more overseas players and everyone shipped out is either fed-trained or homegrown, ratcheting up your % of overseas first team to 59%.
Rovers U20s finished 9th out of 12 teams, with just 5 wins from 20 games
Going into your 5th season you have Kris Welham as your own academy product. Maybe you could count Watts even though he's from Batley's academy IIRC.

As said, until your actual number of first team performances from your academy is more than purely tokenist, it's all just fancy talk and promises of "jam tomorrow".

Had my fill of humbugs yesterday never seen so much straw clutching since I attended the 1983 Kerplunk world championships. I had everything from overseas quota to ground improvements via an account ledger or two (not forgetting the ambulance chaser having that fat B***strd ex MP helping out, how corrupt that is).

You "forgot" to mention the Under 18's Academy, a fair indicator of the class of young prospect being signed...i'm sure you'll agree. For the record the league table showed Rovers academy as being in the top five in the country thus meaning end of the season group play off's against Wigan, Saints, Leeds and Widnes. In the BOTTOM group play off's you'll find your own lads group. A fair indicator i assume of the calibre of future prospects we are now recruiting to our respective clubs now we have an equal playing field.

Excellent news. I'm really pleased with this. Scott has worked hard and obviously improved with a better coaching team to develop his game. I'm pleased he's been offered the chance to stay. He's earned it.

Was hoping he would stay, he might be down the pecking order next season, but at his age he has plenty of time to get up to first choice.

This thread started as a sockfest with Zod and RBA trying to outdo each other on your squad formation and fabulous academy promotions. Why is it "drivel" to highlight that your squad has an increasing proportion of overseas players and that there are rules forcing academy promotions rather than them being done for their own sake? I'm not lying or insulting anyone, just providing a counterpoint to the rather cringeworthy self-indulgence about Rovers squad that opened the thread. Make me a foe, then you don't need to get all riled up by an alternative and considered viewpoint that you seem unable to handle.

i find it quite sad the amount of time you spend on our board hijacking as many posts as you can. Cant you watch the soaps like most women do or stick to your own board

Yes, it was a close call....he was only four hours away from signing.

Most Rovers fans are pleased he didn't and most Hull fans are pleased he stayed....but no doubt he's indebted to our club for his pay rise though.
