Crowd was a bit disappointing, but not massively surprising.
Doesn't take the shine off a much needed fillip. For example my enjoyment of the DVD won't be diminished for a few gaps in the east stand.
Now, the crowd/stadium/financial stuff. It is important and I'd be quite interested in discussing in a sensible and constructive way. I don't want to deny others the opportunity to do that. And yet I feeled compelled to - on this thread, at least.

I know that the Crusaders got a good tonking today but i was still impressed with them, they never stopped trying, threw the ball about well, they will turn a good few sides over this season IMO

I like them too. The thing I can't reconcile is their at times entirely off the cuff style with the fact they're coached by Noble.

Whilst the comment he made is unacceptable the thread was not about the attendance at all.
Just because you and sad act make yourself look stupid by trying to deflect the thread away from the match which is what Rovers fans want to discuss it doesnt make that the topic.
Causing numerous threads to drift off topic can also be classed as breaking the AUP so i suggest you take heed of that fact.

i was impressed with our h/b pairing today, Dobson and Murrell kept us ticking over nicely, our kicking game was far better, we looked far more dangerous and even pulled off a good few offloads too.

So on the game.

As i said on the very 1st post i fancied Rovers to put things right today.
The enthusisam and energy they are capable of displaying was very much in evidence today.
An early try always settles a side down and they got that and some of the tries from distance were superb.
Vella and Clinton ripped in early and Dobson had space to play in for the 1st time in a while.
Very impressed with the disbribution from Dummy Half by Hodgson and his taking on the line along with his great pass to send Dobson in for his 2nd try.
Watts was great with ball in hand but needs to work on his discipline.
Strong return to the side from Welham and our new right centre scored 2 great trys


The Crusaders were disapointing in particular there decision making and giving away stupid pens.
There best 2 players were their Wingers Raynor and Thomas i thought.
Witt was a huge disapointment

Not a lot to add to that except thought Hodgson was a big big plus today and the offload to Dobson from off his toes was world class.
Galea was a welcome boost as well.

Yeah Galea adds so much.
Hodgson has so much in his locker and if he continues to develop is going to be a top player.

The thread does not say Match Thread, it is about Crusaders up next, I would have thought attendance is part of the package of a game..
Calling a poster what he/she did is totally unacceptable and hardly comparable to mentioning an attendance at a game.

Well done on the win, I still fancy Crusaders to finish above the bottom 3 by the way.

Might change the habit of a lifetime and listen to KCFM on a Tuesday night if that happens.

The thread is about the game and unless Crusaders improve markedly on their last 2 performances then i will be sleeping easy between now and the end of the season.

The quietest part of the game attack wise coincided with Watts and Hodgson being off, I think these two are now looking our two best players for attacking plays, Watts offload ability is fantastic and Josh speeds up the play the ball and gives us great attacking speed we don't seem to have with Scottie or Fish.

Clinton had his best game for me and Newton was fantastic as a stand in centre, his speed for a big bloke is great.

All in all, I don't think anyone had a off game, Charlie was his usual 110% and Briscoe is getting back to his best. Well done to them all.

MOTM was deserved for Dobbo, but I thought Netherton deserved a mention for his non stop 110% effort as usual, his pass leading up to one of Doddos tries was class, as was Josh's pass off the floor.
