Hull have there best team for a while, there best chance of winning things too and yet so many of there fans are still on here, going on and on about all things Rovers, finances (or lack of em) signings, Hudgell, stadium extensions, you name you Hull fans cant stop going on about them.
Why is that?

Rovers have a closed forum, Hull don't - so on RLfans we are outgunned. I don't mind to be honest - you can have a laugh with their good posters and a laugh at their idiots. It is only the ramblings of a few internet obsessives at the end of the day, and nobody is keeping score.

That's not the case though, is it? This board is like a ghost town whereas the Hull board is the most active on here.

probably cos most people are fed up with a lot (not all) of Hull fans ruining posts.

Only 5 SL boards have more posts than this one - although without the interest of Hull fans in Rovers, we'd doubtless drop a couple of places.

Well Mild Rover has come up with a good thing here, all banter and squabbling can go on this thread and posters who want to discuss in a serious manner etc can do so on the other topic threads..

TBH there is that many of us on our board we could do with a squabbling thread amoungst ourselves

I have thought in the past about having a "banter only subb-forum" on here, going one step further than just the thread. That way, any banter is kept in one place, and these forums can be left to sensible discussion from all parties, cos some hull fans do post sensible stuff, its just a minority which kick things off

Even this isn't official, as I haven't discussed it with the other mods. Despite BB's touching faith in my far-sightedness, I only split it from the Clinton thread, because it wasn't about Clinton but people where talking about RL. We'll see how it evolves, I guess.

It will keep you active, because as soon as a poster drifts on a thread you can just transfer it on here and let whoever carry on with their banter/squabbles whilst others carry on debating on the original thread....

At the end of the day Rovers / Hull rivalry is good if it is kept from being vindictive.

Bloody good idea that, keeps threads on track and doesn't get posters moaning because theirs has been deleted.

Many times during a thread a point comes up and although it may not be relevant to that particular thread it does warrant a discussion of sorts. Moving to another thread like this one lets people discuss it without disrupting the original thread.

No our board needs about 5. Hardly any of the topics on the first page resemble anything in the thread title by the time they get to page 3.
